And this "pop song with heavy bridge" worked with Ludens but I hope they don't stick with this formula in every song. One thing I've loved in amo was how they managed to sound good and cohesive in both pop and heavy areas.
At this point, I wish they'd just hang it up. I thought they were going in a great direction post-There is a Hell with both Sempiternal and then That's the Spirit, but everything since then seems like they have no idea what the fuck they want to sound like. Throwing everything they can against the wall and going with whatever takes the longest to slide off onto the growing pile of shit on the ground below.

Any fans of Brujeria here? They put out a new two song digital single.

Nothing mind blowing, but if you like what Brujeria does, you'll like this.

What the fuck? This new Full of Hell is insane. Super grindy and the added addition of saxophones into the mix reminds me of Naked City and Brainbombs.

I actually really liked that. Ludens is the best thing they’ve done in ages still though. I dig amo and That’s the Spirit retroactively now. I’m a hypocrite. Don’t consider them metal anymore though honestly.

Umbra Vitae's "Shadow of Life" is now available for vinyl preorder here.

Was able to snag one of the 100 pressing clear but that's gone now. Some new shirts available too.

Might pick this one up. I've been liking a lot of music from Deathwish. I'm a Converge fan x100 though so I'm pretty biased.

Oh they're on Sacred Bones (an awesome, awesome, AWESOME label) but this is just the variant from Deathwish's web store. I think I just liked the color on this variant in particular ... but Uniform is insanely good. Saw them open for Deafheaven/Drab Majesty in 2018 and Boris in 2019 and they killed it. One of my favs.

Was lifting and this came on randomly in shuffle.. I had to stop when I thought I heard Howard's vocals and I did! They finally did it huh? Not going to lie I cried a little bit watching this video. I think the only time they collabed was when Jesse did backing vocals way back in the end of heartache days? This is so good.

On a Howard Jones kick now...

This shit is catchy but still high quality. Singer's got a helluva voice.

    And this is significantly heavier.

Didn't care for her as the vocalist for IWABO but Spiritbox is very good.

Any old school Underoath fans out there?

They just announced a series of empty venue live streams performing the big three (TOCS, DTGL, LITSOS) in full with new represses of the albums of vinyl. Honestly I'm stoked as fuck to watch them do Define. The last time I saw them live was during the tour cycle for that album so it's gonna be super nostalgic.

Changing of Times with Dallas or GTFO

Kidding. This is pretty cool. Dunno if I'm gonna pay $15 to watch any of the shows, but I applaud them for the idea. Hope it works out for them.

Any Static-X fans here? New album released today. Killer record. Been listening to in nonstop. Sadly it's the last album with Wayne's vocals.

Was just coming here to post about this album. It's fucking GOOD. Also, I wouldn't say it's the last. Don't forget they have a whole second album's worth of material coming soon.

    EDIT--
You can definitely tell when Edsel is singing versus Wayne, but goddamn, Edsel's impression of Wayne's voice is pretty fucking spot on.
