Anyone familiar with Lesser Glow? They opened for Cave In last night, and were really good.

Pretty sure the new Venom Prison album doesn't come out until next February but my Revolver pre-order has not only already shipped but is in transit on schedule to be delivered Monday. Honestly very excited to hear this album. The newest single is so opposite of everything Venom Prison have ever done but it's so damn good.

I've actually listened to about 1/4 of those albums so I'm going to have to find the rest.

Vein.FM just surprise dropped a new single/album pre-order. This sounds like old Vein from their first couple of EPs!

I have been listening to this regularly lately. Pretty Pretty Pretty Pretty Pretty Pretty Pretty Heavy.
Lots of cool breakdowns. People love breakdowns, and these guys give the people what they love.

I just really don't buy any of what Keith is saying about the rest of the dudes in the band. Andy is the nicest person in the world. I just don't see Andy being some backstabbing conniving asshole. Honestly, the more Keith keeps this shit going in the public spotlight, the worse he looks.

It's on the softer side of hard... depending on how you look at it... But this band always seems so underrated:

hate5six posted their production of Cave In's show in Cambridge, MA from last December. The production quality is SO GOOD. I can see myself a bunch too, as I'm right up front in front of Brodsky.

EDIT: Does anyone have the ability to rip the audio from this for me? The mix is perfect.

Im begging everyone to check out this album, its a masterpiece - the riffing/changes are insane. I really want these guys to get huge, the metal scene needs some younger, up and coming, GOOD bands. I believe this is their first vid:

Never heard of this band. Really dug the track though. Its a fun lil barn burner.

Kinda unnecessary to be dismissive of the current metal scene, though. There are SO MANY great young up and comer bands in the scene right now. Like, A LOT.

New VEIN.FM album is a goddamn barn burner. Somehow this thing is like twice as heavy as Errorzone was.

Didnt see a topic, surprised bc they def deserve their own thread, but damn this new album is solid.

Broken Cog, Kaleidiscope, Armies of the Preposterous - real solid standouts (currently).

Caught one my faves Behemoth tonight at the show in Charlotte. Also on the lineup was Unto Others, Arch Enemy and Napalm Death. Great bill, worth going to for sure if you got a date in your area this spring. Fun as always.

Managed to grab the new Napalm Death mini album at the merch booth and to my surprise Barney Greenway was working it with the guy from earlier in the night when I got a shirt. Shook his hand and exchanged a few words. I would have asked for a photo like the couple in front of me but I didn't want to impose on him. Was a super cool experience!
