    Chelsea Wolfe

I was really surprised to not see a thread for her already

Chelsea's been one of my all-time favorites since I first discovered her, most likely here on ETS.

Also - here's a new song, tracklisting, artwork, etc for the upcoming album Abyss

Pain Is Beauty is a stunning album, the album that definitely made me pay attention. Looking forward to Abyss.

discovered her when i saw her play with Marriages and Russian Circles a couple years ago. absolutely fucking amazing. she opened with "movie screen" which started with her creating the haunting vocal loops, and lasted for about 10 minutes. i was hooked from then.

my friend isn't huge on pain is beauty (though we saw her together right after she started touring on it), but i love it even more than apokalypsis. so when the pre-orders went up yesterday for Abyss, i jumped right on it!

I am still mixed on Chelsea, having seen her open for QOTSA two years ago I couldn't click with her. Live or studio, but that said "Iron Moon" is awesome!

Couldn't resist ordering Abyss, Apokalypsis, Pain is Beauty & The Grime & The Glow from her online store [I've wanted Apokalypsis for a while but saw it was the orange/ black and The Grime & The Glow was grey/ black so thought fuck it]. Looking forward to receiving that, along with the myriad other things en route to me!!

Really really enjoying this new album. Love the noise/dirty production, it sort of reminds me of the downward spiral. I bought my tickets for the San Fran show for next month.

listened to it on vinyl yesterday (while my wife and i were playing Uno, strangely enough...didn't really fit the mood of us cracking up...) it was GORGEOUS. need to download the digital version and listen a few more times but i absolutely loved it.

Definitely Chelsea's best work, yet. I get a Downward Spiral-vibe, also, which is awesome cause I've always felt TDS is really unique, sonically. John Congleton is a beast behind the boards, nowadays. Everything he's worked on over the past few years has been really exceptional. I would go so far to say he's like a new Flood. Can't wait for his new album with the Nighty Nite, also.

I caught the Bristol gig a couple of weeks back and thought she was awesome. I only have Abyss, looking for recommendations on the next album to get. Thanks!
