    TEASER VIDEO

THE STILL POINT OF MY TURNING WORLD (originally posted by the duder)

I know this was posted in the TDEP thread but I wanted to create a thread on its own. I am so insanely excited over this project. As much as I love Greg's vocals on TDEP and Killer Be Killed, I've really wanted to see what else he can pull off.

I also know he has a strong passion for minimalist/electro/ambient music. He has stated his favorite NIN album is Still and his favorite NIN song being Leaving Hope.

They are slowl adding things to the Facebook page but they are giving away NO details.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT ON A CORNDOG

Looks like it may end up being a full on ambient/instrumental project. Totally good with that though because damn this sounds amazing.

    (damn you

it's like they channeled and distilled all of the ideas/moods/energy from "Still"
holy fucking shit, this is good.

i'm actually guessing it's not going to be instrumental, and that what we got was an edited version of the song. i know greg CAN play guitar (and maybe other instruments?) but i can't imagine he's involved in this project in a non-vocal capacity. i think they're just saving the reveal.

Besides, I think a snippet of Greg's voice was heard on that eerie teaser video.

I can't take this anymore...especially because I am assuming we won't get another hint/clue/anything for at least another month.

The Facebook and site and first teaser video went up on March 3rd. Then its been radio silence until now.

Unless the shitith is about to hitith...

Yeah I saw that as well, seems they waited for it to premiere on that BBC radio show and then let the DJ announce that it was available for download. Such teasers.

That was amazing...I don't really like to use tags on music (and hopefully you folks take this the right way) but this is how pop music should sound like. Great stuff!

    Also: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/fe...oject-20150615

That article has a video of The End Where We Start.

i bought the song yesterday morning but didn't have a chance to listen to it until i got home from work and was doing dishes.

i think i had it on repeat for over 40 minutes and just kept getting goosebumps over and over, trying not to cry. possibly the most beautiful song i've ever heard.
i feel like josh picked up where he and charlie had left telefon tel aviv, found two people who can further that vision, and they crafted something immaculate. i mean, i think we all knew greg had a pretty voice, but the extent to which he can emote in such a cathartic way without having to go anywhere near his normal scream is fantastic.
also, i was worried after reading the article that there wouldn't be ANY guitars, but the minimal nature of them and the way they're used is just achingly gorgeous.

Not sure yet...I will post once I find out whats on the mystery cassette. I work at a production company and one of our sound engineers is going to convert it to mp3 for me.

Shit, knowing Greg and co. it will probably dissolve after one play through. haha

EDIT: In recent news....SO I guess it is the full album.
