Had to add these in, just did a show last weekend and decided to give the downward spiral a go, a lot of fun. Good audience. Think we might try broken next time.

Ok this one is not finished yet, it's still missing the vocals, and plus it's not even on the "right" key, just cause it will be a lot easier for me to sing on this key
I'll deffo add some overdubs plus record the vocals later this week.

Ok, the instrumental part of my zero sum cover is finally done, now i have to record the vocals...

did this a few years ago
I'm going to try to find the remix/cover of In This Twilight I was doing quite some time ago. I'll have to bully my old computer back to life, I think...
(that's not from me)
All of Pretty Hate Machine in acoustic. The girl is good. Her version of Terrible Lie is great.
But she can't help Down In It, no matter how you do it, it's a terrible song, but a very funny one.

Head Like A Hole!!!
Here's an instrumental version of Mr. Self Destruct that I was fucking around with.

this isn't exactly my cover...
this is from my friend/fellow musician Susan a.k.a. It Was July
we have worked on numerous tracks together and have a new project in the works
i actually helped mix and master this cover song for her remix EP as a bonus track
she actually approached me after finding me through my own music thread on the official NIN forums
so i guess NIN helped us come together
enjoy...

and here's another producer that i know named Shaper from the Netherlands and his cover of "March Of The Pigs"
that march of the pigs cover is well done, but it's too much of a carbon copy, for my taste. i like covers that take the song somewhere else, you know?
if i want to hear the NIN version of march of the pigs...you get the idea.
Thanks for sharing that. I agree, Terrible Lie sounds surprisingly good. Works much better as an acoustic song than I would have
guessed.
Hmm, inspired to do my own covers, except I can't play an instrument so all I can really do is sing NIN songs in the shower. They sound pretty good in the shower though.

Hey, I'm new to the forums and just thought I'd post my cover of right where it belongs. Sorry it's not the best it could be lol.
Hard to follow that. Really well done!
Did a cover of Reptile. Pretty generic, but I like how the replicated synth sounds on guitar.
Duh I forgot about this thread cuz I'm slow like that. Kudos to my friend spahn for posting the link to a NIN cover I did awhile ago. Here's my latest cover/quasi-remix of 9 Ghosts I. Looking forward to the new album!

A good friend of mine (and incidentally, the one who got me into NIN) recently did a cover of Reptile with cello, vocals, and found sounds: https://soundcloud.com/leyla-i-royal...ch-nails-cover
Hey guys just throwing it out there to all of you in the Chicagoland area.
Our nin cover band now im nothing is doing a free show out in forest park at a place called chalk.
if you're looking for something to do come on out, a % of the money raised from liquor sales tonight goes to help
a fellow chicago musician with his medical bills. He was mugged and beaten while on tour.
so if your looking for some fun come on out.

Cover of The Good Soldier I did a while back...not exaclty how I'd do it today, but I'm proud of it for the most part: https://soundcloud.com/sawyer-hitchc...e-good-soldier
I had nothing to do with this cover, but I have certainly enjoyed this rendition of All The Love In The World.
ok, so I'm going in
Couldn't find a non-ets member covers thread.....anyway, thought this was kinda cool
My first NIN cover: Gone, still.
This is probably by far the latest cover of The Hand That Feeds I've found on YouTube.
Just finished my cover of La Mer:
Thanx for listening!
I don't like the beginning, I think the middle part is OK and kudos for the ending, because not only it sounds good, but you just made me realize that the tune you were playing towards the end is actually in the original one as well. Fucking Fragile, always surprising me.
Anyhow, I'm not a big fan of covers, whether amateur or not. Like there's Device's Wish, which is Wish sung by a different singer. Who cares? On the other hand, the Johnny Cash version of Hurt or the acoustic version of Terrible Lie are fine. Also, I don't like when someone censors a cover, ie. the SICNH cover. Hurt is an exception because it is so much different, that it makes up for it.
This is awesome though, these are the covers I dig - and some piano-only covers. The best thing about this cover is the way she's into it. It just describes Closer to me. Hearing NIN songs sang by women are also a plus. since it just gives a whole new vibe to it.
I covered Satellite.
With my mouth.
Now it hurts.
from an annual house-party i throw, that usually includes playing some music with some buddies. excuse the wet shirt - a friend accidentally poured beer down my shirt.
that year we also played thtf, gave up, closer, and hlah.
This is an older video, but it's the first time I've seen it. I think they pulled it off pretty well! listen to the whole thing, then you'll get into the groove of it.
