It's nice to hear them finally talking about it, and kind of get a feel for where it's headed.... threequels make me nervous, and if it continues the curve of quality set by it's predecessors, I'll be kind of disappointed.

On another note, I picked up the animated series recently, and it's more awesome then I even remember! There's some serious writing in there.

I was lucky enough to be at the filming of DKR at Wall Street. We took a bunch of videos, including the below ones that lebruit took of Cat Woman on the Bat Cycle (it's a stunt woman, but a brilliant close up of the bike), and a Tumbler stunt. What was really cool, was that they left the Tumblers parked in the street overnight, covered in tarpaulin. I got my photograph taken next to one. All in all, fucking brilliant day.

Also, lebruit stole a "Guerrilla Warfare" poster that was covering a fake Gotham news stand. Photos from the set on their way!

I know Nolan will impress me in the end, he's yet to make a bad film. However, Bane and Catwoman look pretty fruity IMO. I mean, I remember thinking how fuckin' badass Joker looked on the first promo pics. Bane/Catwoman looks so meh.

Here's an interesting speculative article from Cracked.com. It makes some pretty interesting points, and it's an overall good read, I think (with as much humor thrown in as you can expect from a Cracked article.)

Spoilers for Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and maybe some stuff for The Dark Knight Rises? Like I said, it's all speculation, but it's pretty possible.

Spoiler: http://www.cracked.com/blog/advanced...l-bruce-wayne/ < - Here's the link. I tagged it because the article title might have a spoiler in it, but like I said, it's pure speculation.

I can't wait to see the footage from the Pittsburgh stadium shoot. Not because I think I'll pick myself out of thousands of people, but just to see exactly how the 11 hours of shooting get used.

That's crazy DF118 that you got to be on the set, so jealous. As one of ETS' full fledged Bat-Nerds (autographed TDK script, tattoos, statues...don't ask), I'm beyond pumped for this movie. I have full faith that Tom Hardy is going to kill it as Bane. It's coming out 8 days before I get married, you'd think that she'd let me have a Bat-Wedding theme but noooooooo...

    Spoiler: Bruce Wayne is Batman!!!

In all seriousness, I am looking forward to this film as more and more details get released. It sounds like it's going to be quite a conclusion to the trilogy. I'm getting antsy for the prologue next month. /giddiness

Consider the realm Nolan sets his films in. Joker is a lot easier to make "fuckin' badass" than two other masked characters. I mean, hell, Bane looks a hell of a lot cooler in this than he does in the comics (and Batman & Robin *shudder*). As for Catwoman, I think if it was any different than what it is now it would be a little too much. It's simple, while still maintaining the functionality Catwoman has always had; personally, I think it works.

If you're a Bat-Nerd like me, you know that only certain IMAX theaters (ones with 70mm projectors) would get the six minute TDKR prologue in front of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Well, Nolan announced today which theaters will be getting them. I'll go ahead and bold the best one.

“Our experience on The Dark Knight shooting and projecting IMAX 15 perf 65mm/70mm film was inspiring. The immersive quality of the image goes beyond any other filmmaking tool available, and in revisiting Gotham, we were determined to shoot even more of the movie in this unique format. Giving the fans an early look at an IMAX sequence is a great way to draw attention to what I believe will be an incredible way to experience our story when it comes out next summer.” – Christopher Nolan

IT'S ACTUALLY THE 4th ONE TO BE HONEST. Nah I kid I kid, you're right. It'll be fairly painful to make that choice. We'll probably just stay for the movie...it has Simon Pegg at least.

And MI:4 is directed by Brad Bird (yes, The Iron Giant/The Incredibles/Ratatouille Brad Bird). That has to be worth a shot, at least.

Christopher Nolan discusses his favorite scene from TDK.

Pretty cool interview. I agree, it's one of the most iconic scenes in cinema, at least for me anyways...getting this in depth look at Nolan's perspective towards it makes it all the better.

I'm still kinda dismayed at Bane being in this, he's such a boring villain to me. As for Catwoman, the costume is neat but Anne Hathaway playing it really won't be believable to me on paper. Maybe I have her associated to too many other things.

As for Catwoman costumes, no one will ever beat this one to me. Best costume ever:

Based on what's being said, this version of Bane will not be boring at all.

Hardy's gonna own the role too.

Looks like we may have the start of an ARG! The image is of Alon Aboutboul, perhaps he's a scientist that's created the doomsday machine we've seen Bane have in his possession? Bane chasing him or something?

    Article.

That poster of Catwoman still remains on my wall in my room.

"New York, NY || Lincoln Square 13 with IMAX" - thanks so much for this info!! And to think I almost didn't come in here because there are bound to be spoilers. I'll be going.

Anyone take part in that Hans Zimmer chant challenge besides myself?

Got my passes for the Madison one. Fuck. Yes.

If this is anything like The Dark Knight's campaign, there should be free shit, too. Even if there isn't, I don't care.

Yeah but Batman's costume looks dreadful in all those set pics as well, let's be honest, the "Batman" elements in Nolan's movies are the weakest part.

On thedarknightrises.com right now there is an audio player spouting co-ordinates or numbers in a seemingly never ending loop. I'm guessing these are the locations of the operation early bird theaters?

    edit: yup
