i heard a song by some guy named Sam Fender or something on the radio today (i was on a jobsite and had no control over the music) that sounded like if the killers were even more unbearable (his voice was very similar to brandon flowers but without any of the bravado) and used the same bullshit political posturing as bono. THEN they played a newer coldplay song which was...really bad...just so bad.

and then they played the siouxsie cover of "dear prudence" which i adore, so i guess it made up for the previous two songs?

Jesus, that's a lot to unpack. With stage clothes I feel like you really need to commit or let it go. His weird fucking robe and unenthusiastic vocals with lackluster, theatrical hand-wavings are the highlights for me. This says nothing of the rest of the band who also look like total assholes up there for innumerable reasons. But, good for them getting that money I guess.

Not only was that video a parody of multiple songs, each song parodied is a note for note version of the original with only the words changed. The melody is kept intact as well. That's how similar their songs are.

I still think Ten Thousand Fists is a fantastic album, but yeah, just about everything else has been passable at best... and wow, the above video is just embarrassing.

You need to listen to more music. Clout chaser, dick rider, yes... but not even close to the most boring musician. I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy Houston and Toronto Drake.

In a vacuum, the song might not be that bad, sans the lyrics. The video, however, really sends it over the edge into cringe territory.
