Me either, there was nothing wrong with the first film (this will be a reboot remake I am sure). I found this:

Looks like all of the teasers in a super cut? I'm hopefully optimistic about this and Spiral. I guess the movie takes place in the now gentrified area of Cabrini-Green.

For the love of whatever, please sell the rights to Hellrasier. For fucks sake.

From what I've read, it's actually going to be more in line with Halloween 2018, i.e. a sequel to the original film, but essentially the same basic story.

I think it will actually be a sequel, but just like any movie today is a reboot a remake and a sequel, IDK i guess i would have to see it...

is Philip Glass coming back to do the score, or are they going to reuse parts from it? Honestly that was my favorite part of the original

Strange they gender swapped Annie Tarrant in this new one. I don't hate it but I prefer the female lead for this kinda film.

Is this a remake or a sequel? I’m hearing conflicting answers.

It's a spiritual successor, so a little from column A, a little from column B.

I think most people are worried this is going to be just a retelling of the first. It looks to be more Halloween (2018) than The Force Awakens, if that makes sense.

Direct sequel to the original which ignores 2 and 3. Lead is apparently the baby from the first.

I can dig it. Caught the original on a late night about a month ago. Still pretty scary in the right setting!

Good trailer. I saw the original alot as a kid, but it never stuck with me as an actually good movie. Maybe I should watch it again now that I'm older and I'll get it?

This and The People Under the Stairs are worth a rewatch.

I'm cautiously optimistic. The original was a unique spectacle that I really loved as a kid.

I was reading the other day about all those fucking bees. Those bees were really all over the actor Tony Todd, and in his mouth and such: I mean, of course they were- it was pre cgi- but I guess I never thought about it, and sort of assumed it was some kind of "movie magic."

anyway, he got an extra $1000 every time one of those bees stung him, and he got stung 23 times.

This fascinates me for some reason.

I also read that the director literally hypnotized the female lead, so she would be in an actual trance like state, for certain scenes.

Edit: I found an article that brings up both of these things
