    Robin Williams

I figured he means so much more than to just be an extended conversation in the "Dead Souls" thread. He left behind a body of work in film, television and on stage that's been rightly celebrated, but I think he shined the most in one-on-one conversation like with Rose, Letterman, Carson or Leno (among others). Without a net, he could get shtick-y at times but he seemed to have made the most out of those appearances when he could have just sat and delivered the basic requirements of talk show guests.

Yeah, he was one of Carson's final guests.

"Dead Poet's Society" was on HBO today and I had to turn the channel after a little while; too soon.

Thanks for posting that Charlie Rose sit-down. I found Marc Maron's interview with him very poignant, particularly with Marc's heart-wrenching new introduction:

Listened to that a few days ago. Williams talks about some really personal stuff on there. I've never heard him talk like that. He was very honest, but still very funny. Good listen.

Conan did a little tribute for him and had a great story about Williams buying him a bike:

Same here. It still hurts that he is gone. I wonder if his funeral will be a funny one or a very sad one as I'm sure there's a lot of fans that want to be there.

I guess it will be private, with friends and family, only. Then there will be some kind of public memorial service, later.

Netflix apparently has added every Robin Williams film ever. I need to see Happy Feet.

I was at the Popeye film set in Malta today. I thought there would be some kind of tribute to him but I didn't see one. I'm not outraged or anything, just thought I'd mention it

There will be a tribute on tonight's Emmy telecast, with Billy Crystal.

I don't think anyone could. This death still hurts and probably much more than anyone.

This movie looks really good, but I don't know if I want to see it. Even the trailer is hard to watch.

Robin Williams was my childhood in the 90's...Hook, Jumanji, and of course, one of my favorites as a kid, Mrs. Doubtfire.

Cannot wait for that documentary to hit the air! Ugh, gives me goosebumps whenever I see the trailer.

    anyone pick this up?
watched Mrs. Doubtfire yesterday for the first time in probably 15 years, and it's a very different movie as an adult now. Wow, so many things I didn't pick up on as a kid. Great movie.
