Yes, I know Vanilla Ice is a fucking tool, but I sadly admit that I really dig this nu-metal rap/rock album from him called Hard To Swallow... and yes, there is an Ice Ice Baby nu-metal remake on it lol. I think it mainly comes down to Ross Robinson's raw production style, known for this work on albums from Korn, Deftones, Slipknot, Fear Factory, Limp Bizkit, Sepultura, Soulfly, and many, many more. Its' a pretty heavy, raw album. As much as I think Vanilla Ice is a douche, there's an anger, energy, and fuck you vibe nicely captured by Ross.

Not really my thing but hardly worse than other popular acts of the time.

I have to turn you guys on to my guiltiest guilty pleasure. I just love the way this kid says the inane lyric "don't even know why, don't even no cry, don't even look LOOK ALIVE," and tries to look all scary , and he's like obviously like fifteen or some shit, hahahaha.

    But, goddamnit, it's catchy

Nothing guilty about liking Cyndi Lauper, in my mind. She's awesome.

Poison were the first band I got into. I will always have a special place in my heart for them, even if some of their lyrics are WILDLY problematic now hahaha:

I hate most modern pop, but I really like this song:
