As extremely flawed as it is, I do want the Criterion edition of Heaven's Gate. Just for the extras alone and the fact that I can watch Vilmos Zsigmond's photography in a big TV.

I picked up The Royal Tenenbaums today at the local best buy. Their computer system was shutting down and rebooting at will. It took them 10 minutes to ring me up. They also have a copy of Monterey Pop that I look at every time I go in there and say someday you'll be mine.

Really really excited about not only Brazil but Following! First time ever available on Blu-Ray!

If the B&N Christmas sale extends past the 11th I might pick up the Qatsi Trilogy, too. Looks really interesting.

I want all of those sets though I already have the Brazil set. If I ever have a Blu-Ray player, I'll upgrade.

Amazon has it for the same price but the B&N 50% off sale starts release day 30/10/12 so you might as well hold off.

This sale I'll be getting In The Mood For Love Blu, Rosemary's Baby Blu and the Von Sternberg set.

Picked up Rosemary's Baby and will be getting The Game and Eating Raul on my next paycheck. I'm honestly a little bummed that they are having the sale so early this year. I was really hoping that it'd stretch into December like last year so I could pick up Brazil and Following.

I'm using this sale to raid B&N for the Eclipse Series box sets. I've gotten 19 and 31 so far; I'm hoping to get 18, 24, 11 and 35 before the sale ends.

I so want The Kid with a Bike. If I can get the rest of the Dardenne films from Criterion, I would be quite happy. Hope they would do this for Le Fils, L'Enfant, and Lorna's Silence. And also see if they can put their earlier work in the Eclipse series.

The sale has been extended till the 26th.

I've overdone it on the eclipse sets. I've got four by my feet right now, one in the post and I'm looking at more.
I think instead of getting one more I'll stretch for America Lost and Found: The BBS Story.
I might as well go down swinging. I don't even know when I'll have the time to watch these.

I just finished my Criterion Xmas shopping yesterday. 2 of these will be B-day presents on the 5th. What I got are: Three Colors Trilogy, Harold and Maude, Jeanne Dielman, Close-Up, and Being John Malkovich. I might get a few more depending how much extra Xmas/birthday money I get.
