I'm fucking happy that Breaking the Waves is coming to Criterion as it's not only my favorite film by Lars von Trier but it's also one of top 5 all-time favorite films ever. I wrote an essay on the film 2 years ago which you can read here: http://thevoid99.blogspot.com/2011/1...ing-waves.html

No, that was Chevy Chase. And it was called Man of the House.

Nice! An upgrade for Steve Zissou and I knew Red River is coming while I'm stoked that another Kiarostami film is coming to the Collection.

There's a rumor that the Koker trilogy is also coming. Criterion filmed a discussion he did at a college a few months back for a supplement, but now it looks like that might end up on this.

Edit: Also, Criterion have gotten their hands on the newly restored print of Hoop Dreams.

Thanks for posting about the flash sale, just dropped a little over $200 but got some blu rays I had been wanting for a while:
The Game, Brazil, Rashomon, Monterey Pop and the Zatoichi box.

I already have L'Eclisse though I wouldn't mind upgrading it if I have a Blu-Ray player. Yet, I fucking want A Hard Day's Night and maybe hope for more Beatles movies to come.

Pickpocket is a classic as I'm also glad Insomnia is getting an upgrade though I'm a bit disappointed by its lack of new extras. The Essential Jacques Demy is something I do want as I went to a revival screening of The Umbrellas of Cherbourg last August, that was awesome. Scanners.... FUCK YEAH!!!!

No, they changed it briefly from what the iTunes cover was for some reason. The site does that sometimes.
