Must have the entire Road Trilogy by Wim Wenders. That is a major Blind Spot for me. Easy Rider, The Player, and In a Lonely Place are essentials as I love those films.

Sorry for the double-post but it is definitely confirmed into what will come to Criterion later this year: http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplayli...ealed-20160226

Plus, I think it is very obvious into what is also coming to Criterion later this year as well by this pic:

Fantastic Planet. This is the best news I've read in a long time. I watched this on Netflix DVD years back, and have been wanting to own it ever since. Glad to see it's coming to Criterion.

Coming in July: DVD/Blu-Ray upgrades of Carnival of Souls and Night and Fog, The In-Laws (original, not the awful remake) by Arthur Hiller, A Touch of Zen by King Hu, Alain Resnais' Muriel, or the Time to Return, and...... The New World by Terrence Malick in a 3-disc Blu-Ray/4-disc DVD box set featuring all 3 cuts of the film. Now that's a fucking holy grail.

Sorry for the double post but... any idea what this picture might indicate what is coming out?

McCabe & Mrs. Miller is a real must for anyone that loves Westerns and it's my all-time favorite film by Robert Altman. I also want those Orson Welles films while I'm going to see Woman in the Dunes later tonight. I have A Taste of Honey in my DVR hard drive. Shitload of good films coming.

Wow, I believe my last 3 posts in here have been about this series. I'm sure that doesn't sound like a broken record

In case anyone else was wondering, a box set of the entire series is also being released on the same day. At $160, it's cheaper than NM copies of the set on DVD.

I already have Cronos and The Devil's Backbone as it is great that Pan's Labyrinth will be sold separately as well while I'm also eager to get the new upgrade of Short Cuts as well as Boyhood and The Tree of Wooden Clogs as the last of which is a film I've never seen and hope to watch for my Cannes marathon next year.

Oh my Christ I need that Punch-Drunk Love blu-ray in my life. Now if they could just give PTA's Hard Eight a blu-ray release, I'd be set.

I've seen Heart of a Dog, it's a remarkable film while Roma is actually an excellent film from Fellini which means I can give away my old DVD copy of the film to my local library.

    Exterminating Angel is long overdue.

the lack of Bunuel on blu ray is fucking criminal.

Agreed. They need get some of those films back in print as I've seen I think most of his film from the 60s and one from the early 70s as well as a few from the 1920s. I want to see a set of all of his work.

I like the idea of their idea though i still want to maintain the idea of a physical product as I'm fond of having a shelf and DVDs to look at.

The real draw for me is the chance to see movies I'm thinking about purchasing from the Collection that I hadn't before. There are several that I have seen and wish to buy but there is certainly an itch to expand on that with what I'm not so familiar with.

Even better than that is the possibility of seeing/hearing some of the bonus features from OOP releases. You'll notice one of them on the preview image of the YouTube video above.

Most likely not. If they play this smartly, I could see it expanding their profile and from that maybe their Blu-ray/DVD sales will go up.
