No, literally stumbled on the trailer by accident. Thought it looked good.
    Will grab a copy tonight.

    Sorry for the double post.
@elevenism So what did you think about Houses October Built? I really enjoyed it. I thought the premise was interesting. The casting was good. Good pace as well.
I was, however, more entertained than scared. As far as found-footage movies go, this one's pretty good.

i thought it was pretty cool. One thing i liked about it is that i used to go to haunted houses in that area, living in dallas. They were all out east.
In high school and community college, i would call every fucking one of them and get press passes.

But yeah, the movie seemed all chill and VERY realistic...a good thing for a found footage film (i take it some of those interviews were real.)
And THEN it got kind of scary. I liked it.

I've been thinking though, and i'm gonna say that The Honeymoon is the best horror movie i've seen in awhile.
I spend a LOT of time looking for good ones.

thanks for the tip, btw, @Deepvoid

    This Honeymoon?

I added it on my watchlist. I'm capped at 125gig per month and I'm almost maxed with still 8 days left. It may have to wait a little.

Don't know why I love this quote from this scene (or the entire movie as I love it haha). This entire movie/novel is quotable and not in a good way when it's all homicidal.

@elevenism Watched Honeymoon this weekend. It was ok. Good performance by both actors. I wished they would have kept us in the dark a little longer. Would have made the whole movie a lot more scarier or intriguing.

On a related note, I also watched Extraterrestrial. I thought it was a notch above. It's from the Vicious Brothers (Grave Encounters).

See, @Deepvoid , i turned extraterrestrial off afterafter about twenty minutes. I guess it just goes to illustrate the point that, in horror movies especially, we are all very different in our likes and dislikes. That being said, i am going to give extraterrestrial another chance tonight

Did anybody see Horns with Daniel Radcliffe? I rather enjoyed the novel it's based on by Stephen King's son Joe Hill and saw that it's on Netflix, thinking of giving it a watch. Didn't really hear anything about it, hardly even remembered they'd made a film out of it.

The book certainly wasn't "horrifying" to me in any way, I doubt the film will be, either. Honestly most horror doesn't scare me, just interests or entertains me.

Night Gallery was a great horror/macabre series from he 70’s, and something of a forgotten gem today. Admittedly, it was unbalanced at times, maybe because Serling didn’t have the same creative control that he did with The Twilight Zone. I still watch Night Gallery occasionally, and while it never made it out of the shadow of The Twilight Zone, in some ways I find it more entertaining than its predecessor.

Hill is like the Neil Gaiman of horror. He has a weird, fairy tale-like kind of writing. He writes horror that isn't horror, the genre is just a vessel.

@Deepvoid , i gave extraterrestrial another chance and it was decent. But I still liked honeymoon a lot more. @allegro , I think you would like honeymoon. It's pretty scary and has almost no special effects. An American Haunting was pretty good and so was Come Back to Me. Both are on Netflix.

Horror movie thread so I'll drop this here:

So one: they basically copy pasted the original with minor adjustments. And two: they have a Heather O'Rourke clone to play "Maddie". I'm not kidding: the same round face; the same blue eyes, the same hair cut... they just changed her hair color so it wouldn't be too obvious that she's a Heather O'Rourke clone. That's the creepiest and most disturbing thing I saw in that trailer and I'm sort of mad too because I feel like they are playing on our feelings with that young actress.

But still, Sam Rockwell... I'll see it but I am pissed.

I have no interest. It's a movie that doesn't need a remake whatsoever.

    What I've watched recently"
    To Catch a Killer (1992)
Very underrated movie, and VERY creepy. Brian Dennehy is very sinister as John Wayne Gacy.

    The Deliberate Stranger(1986)
This was a pretty good movie, but it's very flawed. It left out a lot of important details, and the cops seemed too confident in Ted Bundy being the killer before they even had evidence, which seemed very cliche. Also, the score fucking sucks. Worth seeing if you want to see Mark Harmon play Ted Bundy. Also, I believe this is the best Ted Bundy movie, and most accurate.

    soon:
The Town That Dreaded Sundown (1976)
The Town That Dreaded Sundown (2014)
    Citizen X (1995)
    Manhunter (1986)
The Silence of the Lambs (1991)

^Manhunter is awesome a great film nobody talks about, still i consider it more a suspense movie, rather than a horror one...
