This movie looks so fucking stupid and I'd watch it. "Slash their prices and cut their inventory." How cheesy.
I love the 1:00 mark when he gets hit into the boxes, he literally levitates over 3 feet.
100 Bloody Acres. It is so bad, it's good
Speaking of so bad it's good, I watched The Toxic Avenger this morning. I thought it was legitimately funny. Definitely more a comedy than horror but still has its share of gore.
Finally got around to watching The Woman in Black. Quite passable, but not amazing. I spent most of it trying not to yell "O HAI MANCE" every time Ciarán Hinds turned up.
I cought '13 Sins' last night, very good inventive Horror/Thriller. It's got Ron Perlman in it as well!
One of my favorite flicks.
"Eckhart saw Hell too. He said: The only thing that burns in Hell is the part of you that won't let go of life, your memories, your attachments. They burn them all away. But they're not punishing you, he said. They're freeing your soul. So, if you're frightened of dying and... and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the earth."
i got a kick out of 13 sins too.
Also, The Eye was passable.
I think "passable" (i think @slave2thewage said it) is a good word to describe horror movies that are worth watching (not shitty b movies,) but aren't exactly exceptional.
Caught "As Above, So Below" Saturday. It wasn't bad at all but one of those that I don't feel the need to see again. It had some potential and interesting ideas but really kind of fizzles at the end.
Call me a sadist but I pre-ordered this today. Yeah, yeah I know they get shittier as time progresses but what doesn't?
I own all on DVD but have only watched the first 4 films. Though for 20.73 for this (shipping included) how could I NOT buy it?
I was wrestling with myself earlier today about buying The Howling and/or Motel Hell but eventually gravitated to this. How'd that happen?
If I wasn't holding out for Hannibal season two I would've bought one of the above.
I'm watching Profondo Rosso right now and it's surprisingly really good.
Alien Abduction is "passable."
as some of you know i am honestly fucking terrified of grey aliens so i may be biased here.
That's the one with Christopher Walken?
Yuh!
Waiting on Pumpkinhead blu-ray, which should be here tomorrow!
Never heard of Motel Hell before. Any good?
I've added The Funhouse to my growing list of 80's horror movies to watch.
I got around to watching The Funhouse about six weeks ago and didn't think much of it.
Two nights ago was a double bill of The Quiet Ones and Oculus. The Quiet Ones... oh, bless, it tried. It did have a creepy vibe, but it was a bit dull at points and was a tad nonsensical. I REALLY liked Oculus, but afterwards I realised that I wasn't so much "scared" by it as "grossed out". If you've seen it, I think you'll know which two scenes I'm talking about.
Saw both recently as well. Completely agree with The Quiet Ones (gave it 4/10). I was ultimately bored by it and kinda fast forward to the ending at one point. I generally liked Oculus. Not utterly scary as you pointed out but it definitely had its moments.
Have you seen Lord of Tears.
The trailer is intriguing.
Oculus I really really liked.
