i was so excited for poltergeist, but it didn't scare me.

i was thinking that maybe the reason that i thought of it as being so scary is because i saw it in the 80s, meaning i was ten or under.

But yeah, i was not impressed.

In Fear is halfway decent. It has an interesting theme about human nature.

Oh, and @Ryan , that Sinister flick is fucking dope. It's one of the good ones. And, it has a Boards of Canada song used for a chilling effect.

Ok, anyone a major Hellraiser fan like I am?

At www.hellraiserpuzzlebox.com there is a talented guy who makes movable versions of the Lament Configuration. I commissioned him to make one for me (around $400). However, when I had my room painted it fell from the shelf and got SLIGHTLY damaged. But not much.

Anyway, because I'm picky I got him to make me a new one. Would anyone be interested in purchasing the first one from me and PM me a price before I list on eBay? The damage is very minimal and essentially only on one corner. Check out the site to see how it moves, etc. it's a remarkable thing to have if you're a fan.

I have hope for Sinister 2 in August. The Gallows just came out. I heard it's bad but I'm still seeing it. Can't be worse than the Poltergeist remake!

Well, if you haven't seen it yet, may I suggest Devil's Pass (you will also find it under the title The Dyatlov Pass Incident; it's easier to "rent" if you look for this title).

It's a found footage movie about a modern day team looking into the famous and creepy real life event. It's not bad.

I've just finished a book about the real life incident; it offers the best logical explanation as to what happened to those hikers I've seen yet. It's a bit sad when a great mystery is about 99% solved though...

I like really like the trailer for Ash Vs. Evil dead, but I have two problems with it: The CGI parts look pretty bad, and it being shot digital makes it look too clean. I'm used to Evil Dead having film grain.

Holy shit, have you guys seen this?

i might have to actually hit the theater for this one. They are saying that this one is going to tie up the franchise, which is bittersweet: sweet in that i bet that the saga will end on a high note and it will be cool to have the lingering questions answered, bitter in that i don't want paranormal activity to end.

Perhaps they will continue to do spin-offs, like The Marked Ones (even though i wasn't so keen on that one.)

I remember seeing the end on TV back in the 90's when I was young. My friend bought it as well so I figured why not?!

Look up photos of the set (Arrow Video release). The digibook is wild. Comes with embossed slipcase, blu-ray/DVD, behind the scenes/stills/production book and limited release.
