    NIN Confessions

Ok. I'll carry out the first confession as mentioned in the Random NIN thread:

I can't discern between the Ghosts songs and their numbers with a few exceptions.

Note: This is not meant to be the NIN Facepalm thread.

    Now confess!!!!

Confession: I've probably listened to the song "Home" more than all of the tracks on With Teeth.

I've only listened to the album version of All The Love In The World about 20 times since it came out.

Don't know why, I like the song.

As in, lounge singer Richard Cheese who covered the song, or smegma?

Not of the phallic variety. I mean how can you not?

Unfortunately I will now always associate Closer with smegma... Disappointing, because (confession!) I'm one of those people who finds it to be a really sexy song.

Unless you're really into seeing Trent break stuff on stage in super-grainy video, you're not missing a whole lot. Some interesting backstage antics, but nothing really special.

The best bits of Closure are the bonus footage added when trent released it on pirate bay.
On the other hand, this pro-shot footage someone claims to have would be an amazing find

The last time when I listened With Teeth from the beginning to end was in... 2005.

well, one tape is live, and the other is music videos.
watching all of the music videos in chronological order is really cool, especially with all the interconnecting footage that peter christopherson put together/shot.
and, honestly, the live stuff is really good, despite the lack of quality sources.

I haven't touched Hesitation Marks since last September, when it was released.

I always secretly wanted Nothing Records and Studios to be a thing again after its collapse, however the best we got was The Null Corporation.

    Pretty boring confessions huh?

Gutted they played all time low in Nottingham and nowhere else in the uk. Would have liked to hear either Satellite or Various Methods too. I can't afford to gallivant over the Atlantic just to hear Trent promote his new stuff properly

I've never watched BYIT in its entirety, only a couple segments on Youtube. And I've owned the Blu-Ray for well over a year now. Thing is, I don't yet have proper video/audio equipment and I'm saving it until I can truly appreciate the experience. It's the only major release in the NIN catalog that's still "new" to me.

Well, if you ever end up feeling like it, you can see it on YouTube while it's still up. I'm still a bit surprised that it has actually lasted that long. The second part is also just a list of music videos from Head Like A Hole to The Perfect Drug.

This has to be by far what is arguably the best, or one of the best uploads of NIN's performance at Woodstock 1994, ever. I just hope you wouldn't mind me posting the exact URLs to go to on YouTube, should you get curious and interested enough to check them out.

P.S. You can watch Closure on the official NIN Vimeo account anytime you want. The bonus stuff is there, too.

my first show was fragility in salt lake city with a perfect circle in the summer of 2000. the security made everyone (including the crowd who'd been there since early morning) sit down on the floor prior to the house lights going down. one person stood up to adjust his junk or something and there was a mad rush for the stage. i got caught up in it, my best friend didn't and secured his place on the rail. i was two or three people back when apc started. next thing i know i'm panicking and can't breathe.

i left the pit from the back during judith, i think.

my best friend ended up on aatchb (during terrible lie), i ended up on the edge of the pit once nin started (not a bad place to be, just not where i intended).

i lied afterwards and told him i was closer than i was for most of the show.
