I'm sure that 99% of fans will disagree with me, but I always preferred Bostaphs's drumming over Lombardo. Paul really brings something amazing to this band!
Not a fan but this may be of interest to those who are http://crackmagazine.net/article/mus...om-the-depths/
Neat video, not a huge fan of the song. Reminds me of Disciple a bit...not sure why.
When the Stillness Comes is a better song from what I've heard so far.
Repentless is a very strong album, pleasantly surprised, Kerry was able to work in some really solid riffs. Vices is currently the standout track for me.
I am surprised by Repentless too. I wasn't expecting much from the singles until I heard the title track
in ETS tradition, here is how I rank the Slayer albums
1. Seasons in the Abyss
2. South of Heaven
3. Christ Illusion
4. Show No Mercy
5. Reign in Blood
6. Repentless
7. God Hates Us All
8. Hell Awaits
9. World Painted Blood
10. Diabolus in Musica
11. Divine Intervention
Reign In Blood
Seasons in the Abyss
South of Heaven
Divine Intervention
Christ Illusion
God Hates Us All
Hell Awaits
Show No Mercy
World Painted Blood
Diabolus in Musica
Repentless has no where to place right now for me
Am I the only one who thought Diabolus In Musica is not the bad album people think it was? I mean, its not classic, but I can still jam with it.
Going to the Boston show in March. Anyone else going to see the upcoming tour?
I'd consider it if they came through Milwaukee on a weekend. Also feels like something's missing without both Dave and Jeff- not that the replacements are bad but just doesn't feel the same.
i realize jeff cannot be replaced, but if you saw them live i'd bet you'd come around...gary does one hell of a job and really brings a lot of energy.
i'm really looking forward to the tour opener here in chicago and how the repentless tracks will mix into what is always a very solid set.
Bah! The old “farewell tour”. Just to be gone for a few years (and it doesn’t hurt ticket sales either) just to come back in a few years.
I’d like to check them out if they come back to Milwaukee though. Haven’t seen this iteration of the band yet.
Whether it’s true or not and though Dave and Jeff weren’t there I am glad to say I seen them last year with Behemoth and Lamb of God.
I just want to see the band with Dave on drums again.
Get ready cause this lineup is coming around again with anthrax and testament.
I really hope there is a texas date somewhere cause i cant miss this again.
And I think Slayer is done, Tom really wants to retire. I can see King either starting something fresh or joining another band.
Oh PLEASE. Those greedy fucks aren't gonna stop doing shows. They're just cooling off big, long tours. You will see them every year doing festivals and one-off's for a good, long time guaranteed.
Confirmed on their FB as the 'final North American tour'. No dates official yet, though the lineup is sick.
I dunno guys, Tom looks like he is done with Slayer, he needs the break. Im happy for him
Dates were released and they have a date here in Charlotte on June 14th. Looks like I’m going to another Summer Slayer Show.
@Conan The Barbarian There’s three Texas dates!
There is. Also 100 dollar tickets. Plus fees, its gonna be a possible no from me i cant afford that
I checked and there are $77 +fees tickets at Vancouver. Possibly nosebleeds but still, that's not too bad! I'd go if I were you.
