Edit: I just looked and Fall officially starts on September 22. I always associated August with fall as school starts in late August, and people always refer to school starting in the fall.

So I would say the answer to your question is yes, unless Trent is trying to hide some secrets based around his knowledge of the seasonal calendar.

The definitions of seasons aren't so strict. I think most people would say late August is summer, but its not strange to call early September fall, and that's pretty close anyway.

What I was getting at is that there are a few different definitions of summer. What you listed is a common one in the US and elsewhere. In the US (and probably some other places), it's also common to mark summer as starting at the solstice and ending at the equinox. There's also a weird definition of summer in US, which spans from Memorial Day (last Monday in May) to Labor Day (first Monday in September), which makes summer slightly longer than 3 months (and I don't think there are similar cut-off holidays for in between other seasons). If you're bored, you can read through this confusing page on Wikipedia.
