From what I've experienced they're completely random. From one appearing in Riverwood as soon as I left the trader's store, to seeing 2 almost back to back. Dragons are pretty easy if you have the Dragonrend shout and the Sanguine Rose weapon that casts a demon in Daedric armor to fight for you since he always takes all enemy aggro...Dragonrend, shoot Sanguine Rose to spawn demon, dragon lands, they fight, you jump in behind the dragon and destroy it. Easy.

Loving this game. Level 48 so far. I usually sneak around in the shadows and stab people, but I'm slowly trying out some other skills. The story is a bit tough to follow when you're trying to do 100 quests at a time, but that's my fault for having Skyrim ADD. I'm having some frame rate issues on 360, but it seems to resolve itself by jumping back to the dashboard and back into the game.

I had my Xbox stolen (a week before the Xbox update that will let me have cloud storage for saved games) - so had to start again... so I'm only at a lowly level 8 - I find I'm doing thing a little differently... a lot of guys in my office plan to start again 'proper' soon. The reason I love this game is that you can start again, use the same character class and still have a slightly different experience...

Finished all of the faction quests so have started on the story. I'm up to "Elder Knowledge" and am psyched with how epic this questline is shaping up to be. Hopefully the payoff is as good as I'm expecting.

There's a nice save manager for those interested in having multiple characters.

one of the best locations in the game i think; it's almost like a mini-DLC in it's own right. i like how they tied it in with Oblivion via Sinderion and the nirnroots.

It's definitely one of the best games I've ever played. If someone wants to call it the best, I'm cool with that. It provides an experience like no other at the moment, really.

I usually play "good" characters in RPGs, but I joined every organisation in Skyrim in the interests of experiencing as much glorious content as possible. Sure, if you want to analyse things my character would be a crazy mess of contradictions, but in this case gameplay wins out over plot.

It's funny how elder scrolls is so different this way compared to Fallout. I liked in Fallout how I could strike a balance between Good and Evil karma in an attempt to stay Neutral. But in Elder Scrolls, you don't have that kind of game. You have choices guided by story or just plain whim. It's an element in gaming I like to see more of. I need to add that both ideas are superb.
Oh and yeah I have yet to buy this game!! Or even finish Oblivion for that matter, I also like to discover everything in a game before considering it "done". This one, might take a lifetime.

That's exactly what I meant with that statement and one more thing...Daedric/Dragon armor.

I wouldn't have much problem with anyone calling it the best game of all time. It's definitely one of my favourite overall gaming experiences of this generation (along with Bayonetta and BioShock) and has some of the best scenery porn to explore in any game ever.

I got this day or release. Got to level 6. came to grips I don't have the time for it. Traded it to Best Buy on Black Fridy and swapped it for Arkham City straight up.

I doubt I'm gonna re-buy this like I thought. I realize the more and more I hear about it the more I've grown tired of it. I played it and explored for a while and enjoyed it but this game is grossly overrated.

Recently finished one of my first non-main story quests "Forbidden Legend". I was impressed how well-crafted a story it was along with the challenge it presents in every piece of the quest's puzzle. This and games like it really benefit from quests having a real story to it rather than a "go here, kill some stuff and loot the place".

I'm curious, how many hours have most people clocked up? I've put in around 20 with very little to show for it, my safe file is largely a book reading and butterfly chasing simulator
