Ah well. I'll do with a vinyl edition at this point. They haven't put it up for preorder, though...

They did put one up for a USA repress, though. Meh.
I put in my shipping address and the total was $156.75, but with the shitty Canadian dollar right now that ends up being over $200 CAD. A little too dear for the moment, I'll wait for it on Amazon.

There's a thing on the right side of the page that shows the American Flag. Press that button and it changes the amounts.

Saw Belew with the Power Trio today, great show! They played some Crimson numbers, obviously – Dinosaur, Walking on Air (a short version; still, it's one of my most favourite KC songs), Neurotica, Three of a Perfect Pair. And they closed with Indiscipline, which was awesome.

BTW, is anyone in the know where I can get Cirkus (the double-disc live compilation)? I used to listen to it a lot when in high school, and I've lost it, and I all I can find online are places I can buy the CDs at, and I just want a digital copy. Can someone who has it perhaps help and point me to where I can get it, if you know what I mean?

Snuck a quick look at the setlists for the UK tour, and... well, now I'm 1000% more excited to see them in November!

Oh man. Pat Mastellotto teases some sounds of a Jamie Muir (the percussionist on Larks' Tongues in Aspic) vintage, which they've been bringing out for this tour:

    previously unreleased

    or...

    8. The Power To Believe II (demo) - 2002:

You didn't mention the USA II "announcement" that accompanies the last track in the box! Exciting.

Honestly cannot wait for the Power to Believe box. Sincerely hope it includes the stuff on Level Five, HWWYHTBHW, and the original tour box bonus disc. That whole period is genius IMO, like the second coming of Discipline.

And I am cautiously optimistic about what could go on with a ConstruKction remix and remaster, if that's even happening. They'd probably need to re-record stuff before they'd ever be satisfied.

    That is so unbelievably cool.

They should make one for 21CSM from Ladies of the Road.

this Thrak box set is looking more and more appealing. really wish i could justify spending the money on it :|

i mean, i guess it's got a lot more (and better) stuff than any of the other recent box sets (i found torrents of them and have been making my way through, the sound quality is SO TERRIBLE through most of the live recordings) and it's not THAT much money, but still.

The sound quality is just bad on the Larks' box, with regards to the live material. There are a few spotty recordings on Road to Red and Starless but otherwise they are all of listenable to professional quality. From what I understand everything in the THRAK box is all professionally recorded.

Box is now under $150 on Amazon Canada. Even with shipping charges to the USA (and possible import duty), I imagine it's cheaper for you Yanks to buy it there than the official DGM store.

the burning shed store has it for $116 +$18 shipping so that's only $134. not sure what the exchange rate is right now with canada but i'm assuming it works out to be about the same.

Right now the exchange rate is totally lousy (thanks, Stephen Harper) so your dollar buys about $1.25 of ours.

I hope they do a box this extensive for The Power to Believe. I'd be all over that.

On the first page of this thread I posted that it was a good thing that Belew was gone.......now I want him back, haha.

This Jakko fella just isn't cutting it.

I heard a bit of Jakko. He seems to be handling the Greg Lake material well. My favorite era is actually the John Wetton era (because of LTIA and Red). I actually really wanted to see Belew in NIN, but it turned out that he didn't like that the live songs were ultimately going to sound too much like the studio versions for him.

Funny how during the Belew era, they dropped most of the old stuff besides a couple instrumentals and occasionally 21CSM. Now that Belew is out, they're playing the old stuff again seem to have dropped the Belew stuff aside from a couple of instrumentals. I still want to see them live, but I'm sure tickets are very expensive and sell out quickly. Not helped that Fripp seriously hates unofficial live recordings (be it audio or video, especially video) and setlist.fm claims they're playing some new stuff as well that the rest of us are unlikely to hear anytime soon.
