Alessandro Cortini (Blindoldfreak, Sonoio, Skarn, & other projects)

I know there are quite a few Sonoio fans here so I thought I'd post the new thread for it.

Alessandro has become on of my favorite musicians over the last few months. I haven't gone more than a few days the last few months without listening to both Red and Blue. Unfortunately I wasn't able to see him on tour. Apparently he's working on the new Sonoio album though which I believe will be Orange and he's also said that he has some new Blindoldfreak that will be released sometime soon.

Sonoio gets absurd amount of play in my headphones on my way to work, at work, on my way home... I'm very glad this music exists

This. Almost every time I'm driving somewhere I have to start playing my blue disc. Thankfully I have a 6 cd player in my car so I can have red play right after. Such wonderful music.

Looking forward to the Red Remix album. Hopefully we get it for Christmas like we did last year with the Blue remixes!

but yes, sonoio album red albums get lots of play for me as well at work and in my car. and although it is the popular single, enough is such an awesome track.

I asked Sonoio on Facebook when we'd hear new music and he said before the end of the year. Right on.

Pretty sure he's talking about the RED remix album which I am personally not that interested in.

I'm definitely looking forward to that more than the RED remix album. He said that it's pretty much new Blindoldfreak but he's going to release it under his own name.

Ya know, I really wish I could tell you. It sounded like a remix. If I had to pick something, it was either the Houdini Big Black Delta remix or the Enough Demo, but the begining of the song had a long instrumental part for about 2 minutes and then I recognized it as a SONOIO song when Allesandro's singing started.

Wanted and was willing to buy both blue and red in physical CD format but then the postage to the UK was more than the price of both the CD's combined. I mean really, i was totally put off after that, I want to buy your music but you dont make it easy Alessandro!

I didn't pay much attention to the remix album at first but left it on my iPhone anyway. The songs would start coming up on shuffle, and I'd stop and think, "Whoa, what was that?!?" In a good way.

So the remixes have definitely grown on me. Can't wait to here what Josh Eustis (Telefon Tel Aviv) and Eric Avery (Jane's Addiction) do for their Red remixes.

It should be on the main page of http://sonoio.org. There is an embedded player for NON SONOIO - REMIXES at the top of the Blue section of the page. Available for free as mp3 or $5 for lossless.

I sure hope we get more music videos, because Enough was just simple enough to be bad-ass.

Allessandro updaed his facebook with 2 posts one was a status update that said: "Uploading new music....busy week end"
and the other was a photo of what looked like an album cover, or a vinyl cover for a CD single for the song "The Scientist"

Cool, guess we'll be getting some new music soon. I was hoping we were gonna get it on Christmas day like last year, I remember listening to Blue remixes on the way to my Girlfriend's sisters place for Christmas with her family, it was an awesome christmas gift!

The Telefon Tel Aviv remix is fabulous. I love me some Telefon Tel Aviv though, so I may be biased. None of the others are too shabby either.
