    -Breaking News!-

Trump: “I just dug up the corpse of my great-great grandmother, copulated with it, then gave an ass licking to an endangered giraffe. My plan is almost complete.”

    Planet earth: “Oh, ok.”

I always respected Colin Powell. I thought him to be a fairly nonpartisan man of integrity who did the best he could in an area of statecraft that wouldn't exist in a more evolved society. He was a decorated vietnam vet. He was the first African American Secretary of State. He was the first Afro-Carribean, and youngest, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He was the top military man in dozens of conflicts aside from the ones that were on TV every night.
He didn't APOLOGIZE for Iraq. He TESTIFIED that he was wrong by 04 and attempted to create new ways for the intelligence depts to share information.
And as far as Afghanistan, I mean, yeah, you can blame him, I guess? But note that EVERY house Democrat and EVERY house Republican voted for the use of force in Afghanistan. And the vast majority of them CONTINUED to support it, for a long ass time. So, I'd assume they deserve some blame, too.

I liked Colin Powell. I think he was a great military strategist, speaker, and author.

    Scott Bakula's statement: https://deadline.com/2021/11/dean-st...te-1234870757/

What a career he had and what a life he led. RIP Dean; thank you for all the memories and we miss you already.

FW De Klerk, last white South African President, the man who opened the door to ending apartheid and freed Nelson Mandela, with whom he shared a Nobel Peace Prize and a long friendship.

He was ALSO kind of an awful bastard who benefited from some of the most draconian times of apartheid, said some fairly shocking shit about it AFTER retiring, and only apologized for it, finally, recently, when he was dying.

I read a book about South Africa some years back; it's a fascinating ride.

I was just getting into Quantum Leap. Stockwell helped make the show. He was perfect for that role and had a great chemistry with Bakula.

Big Big Train vocalist/multi-instrumentalist David Longdon. Very sad at this news, he was a talented guy in a great band.

Did anyone else watch the videos by apetor? He’s been making videos since 2006 and just posted random wilderness stuff all the time while drinking vodka.

He fell through ice and died a few days ago just after his 57th birthday. I’m speechless. I’ve watched him weekly for like a year.

On 26 November 2021, Eckhoff fell through the ice at a lake near Kongsberg, Norway, while recording a video for his YouTube channel. He was rescued by divers who performed CPR on him, before he was flown to Ullevål University Hospital by air ambulance. He died on the 27th at the hospital.[20] Police noted that a hole had been cut into the ice, and that he was alone at the scene of the accident. At the time of his death, his channel had over a million subscribers.[21]
His last video, entitled "I am Not Dead, I am 57 Today", was uploaded on 22 November 2021, five days before his death.[3] In the comment section of the video, he received an outpouring of support after his death, including comments from the aforementioned 4ETG, and from notable individuals like musician Alan Walker.[19]

RIP Robbie Shakespeare, 1 of the greatest bass players of all time. Along with drummer Sly Dunbar, 1 of the greatest rhythm sections ever.

    Mike Nesmith

Had no idea he was sick. He was just on tour with Micky Dolenz a month ago. Loved The Monkees as a kid. Still do. I really regret not seeing The Monkees when they came to town last October.

Oh, holy shit! That's a shame.

Sly and Robbie were so badass.
