Truly terrifying. I wasn't too fond of Black Panther, but liked him as a celebrity alot. This is really awful knowing the truly battled it with only a few people knowing. I mean, Marvel had to know it, no? He certainly looked a little frail here and there, but that didn't concern me to be honest. True hero, sad he's gone!

That's an interesting question. All actors have to be insured when they sign for a movie, If Marvel (or other studios he worked with in the last 4 years) had known he was that sick, wouldn't that represent a risk that he could be unable to finish the project he was working on? Business is heartless, after all.

Someone tweeted a picture of Chadwick with Kobe Bryant. Fuck you indeed, 2020.

While it seems heartless to discuss this over his death, I am indeed baffled this has been kept under wraps for so long and that they actually pulled through with it... kind of makes me respect Marvel or at least Ryan Coogler for their decency over it, if they indeed knew about it all along. It's utterly tragic either way...

my dark thought today was that they even dusted him for the one Avengers movie, they could have left well enough alone and just made Shuri Black Panther, right?

but that's crazy talk and I'm glad they brought him back for the movie. BP2, though, has a Princess-Leia-sized hole to fill.

Off topic, but an old neighbor of mine went to school with George Lazenby and said he was a prick.

Apparently John Cleese wanted him to play Jesus in Life Of Brian, lol.

Apparently he was a diva on the set of his Bond movie, thought that he was a big star. He was told by the producer he's only a star if the public makes him one. He was offered a contract to play Bond for six movies and he turned it down, thinking that Bond was going to die when the 60's ended (his movie was in 1969). Bad move.

    Daniel Radcliffe died?

@onthewall2983 - Could you maybe post the name of the actual decedent, vs. just posting a cryptic video?

She's a shining example of a tough, strong woman who didn't go down without a fight. She defied many odds in life and her career. A huge loss.

I’m so devastated. She was such a hero for me. She couldn’t get a job after law school because nobody would hire a woman. She broke every glass ceiling in law. Pancreatic cancer is unbeatable.

I had someone ask me today, seemingly for no reason, "should I know who Ruth Bader Ginsburg is?" I responded that yeah, they - especially as a woman in the year 2020 - should know who RBG is, a Supreme Court Justice who's been fighting longer and harder than anyone else hoping to make it out of 2020 alive. "Oh, well my mom just texted me that she died."

so, two shocking events at the same time for me.

edit: I just remembered that said person has a "women of power" calendar (or something, it's got one powerful woman on each month. I'm pretty sure RBG was March or something? Anyway, Angela Merkel is on there right now) and I'm thinking she doesn't look at her own calendar.

    Rest in power, RBG.

This fucking sucks and I think we are completely screwed.
