no more drift please. get back on topic, folks.
Gary Wright has passed at 80. I know it's become kind of a meme in film/tv over the years, but I genuinely love Dream Weaver. Great early-ish use of synth in pop music, and a great rock album.
Edit: I hope this doesn't count as drift; I'm genuinely discussing the decedent, aside from the sales bit.
I CAN sell you a eulogy, AND a headstone. Remember: I have a proven sales track record. You know I was just breaking your balls, anyway.
And, hey: have you heard Mouth Sounds or Mouth Moods by Neil...I'm not gonna try to spell his name.
He's like the Girl Talk of mediocre 90s music. At least The Guy From Smash Mouth inspired THAT: an obscene amount of it is made out of Smash Mouth.
It's fun.
Also, @Jinsai , MOST people ACTUALLY know The Guy From Smash Mouth as The Guy From SHREK.
He spent MANY drunken hours on social media trying to NOT be the Guy From Shrek, so he'd be HONORED that you called him the former. At least that.

WAIT wait wait...but Hulu greenlit a KoTH revival. It was allegedly in production TWO MONTHS ago.
Goddamnit.
That show is SO special to me: when my family first moved to "Dallas," we landed in a spot called Garland. Garland and Richardson are PRETTY much neighborhoods in northeast dallas, and you can literally walk across the street from Garland into Richardson without realizing it.
Mike Judge went to HS in Richardson, and Arlen is CLEARLY Garland/Richardson. I mean, EVERY little visual detail is fucking PERFECT. They NAILED it. Shit: Arlen/Garland, you know? That show PERFECTLY encapsulates the look and feel of several years of my life. I swear to god we lived next to a Laotian family, and across the street from IRL Dale. I can SERIOUSLY look at that show and imagine riding my bike down those streets.
AND Old 97s' revved up version of El Paso (the one Vince Gilligan had on a loop writing the final episode of Breaking Bad) was on the show, and the King of the Hill Soundtrack album.
RIP Rusty Shackleford. From what I've heard, he was set to reprise his role. How are they going to do this, now, though? Damn.

look Elevenism I'm not talking shit to you. I'm actually really sick and so is my dog so maybe I vented a bit here
Lol, jesus Jinsai. I know you're not talking real shit to me. And I wasn't talking shit to you. How long have we known each other, here? I hope you feel better.
Now let's end the drift before we REALLY piss @sweeterthan off, man.
Our own Mr. @Harry Seaward is gone.
If I'm using this thread improperly, and I think i might BE, please move this elsewhere, as I don't even remember the ETS etiquette surrounding this sort of thing.
But, he was my friend, on and off of the board, and i know a lot of us interacted with him, here: he had about 2200 posts, on THIS iteration of ETS, and, if i'm not mistaken, had held on to that screen name since the old board.
Rest in Power, Seaward.
