Marilyn Burns, the actress who played the main protagonist in the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre has just passed away. She was 65.
Oh dear God, no.
Robin Williams
We had a copy of his HBO special from the Metropolitan Opera house in the 80's. I found it when I was 11 years old one night, when I started sleeping past my usual bedtime and everyone was asleep. My family was going through a profoundly hard time for reasons I won't get into. I never remembered laughing so hard before and it was such a healing for me at the time. This is staggeringly sad and upsetting news.
Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuk fuck fksdjflksd
When I read that, it felt like I've been hit in the face by a truck. What the everlasting fuck.
Rest in peace Robin. You will be sorely missed.
That's a shocker...
What a great actor. One of the few actors who could make me laugh out loud and cry with his acting.
He will be missed but more importantly, he will be remembered forever.
Very shocking news, and in very tragic circumstances. When I was a kid, Hook was one of my favourite movies. RIP funny guy.
My brain refused to process it, it just went "must be some other Robin Williams, probably some athlete or musician I'm not familiar with". Really upsetting.
Sitting here in fucking stunned silence.
Wow. This really fucking sucks.
Holy fucking shit. No way. So sad. I'm truly shocked.
Fuck you, depression! We lost one of the great ones today. Very sad.
World's Greatest Dad is due for a viewing. So is Aladdin.
Man, what a fuckin' bummer.
I'm beyond sad. Robin Williams was someone I grew up watching. Not just as a child but for so many years. Moscow on the Hudson, Aladdin, Dead Poets Society, Baron Munchausen, Awakenings, Mrs. Doubtfire, Good Will Hunting, Jumanji, Death to Smoochy, One Hour Photo, Cadillac Man, Nine Months, The Birdcage, Insomnia, The World's Greatest Dad, Deconstructing Harry, and all of those HBO specials. I'm very devastated by this and yes, depression is a disease and he must have been going through hell.
Thank you Robin for the joy that you put into our hearts.
Guess I'll have to finally watch The Fisher King...
Very sad news. Depression is a bitch. RIP Mr Williams
Shocked and saddened by the news. A old co-worker of mine ran into him at a comic shop in town. Said he seemed like a genuinely nice guy.
Agreed with Swykk, World's Greatest Dad is one of my favorite movies.
goddammit, no no no.
He's one of the greats.
You never know for sure, sometimes. These last few years must have been awful for him.
What a bad day. Rest in peace.
This pretty much sums up my feelings right now:
What a major loss, RIP.
I just posted my tribute to him which you can read here: http://thevoid99.blogspot.com/2014/0...s-tribute.html
His episode of WTF with Marc Maron has been reposted and is free to download. Maron gives a very emotional opening to it.
my wife is over here balling her eyes out over this one. he was a big part of a lot of people's childhoods in my age range. huge loss.
