was just coming to post this. I wasn't expecting this at all. this one really, really hurts. I'm a massive Primal Scream fan and she is one of my favorite female singers of all time. She also sung with New Order, A Certain Ratio, 808 State, and more.
I really like her take it on home vocals in Electronic's "Get the Message"
I also love her vocals on the Hypnotone track "Dream Beam"

I'm pretty huge on Primal Scream, too. Know Andrew Innes a little.

This is the absolute best. First million dollar winner on the show, and what a winner he was.

RIP Seattle legendary DJ & concert promoter Pat O'Day. On a national scale he was a founder of Concerts West which still thrives today albeit in a different form. This guy always had tons of amazing stories about dealing with bands back in the day.

RIP to the great record producer Martin Birch. As a kid I recall seeing his name on the back of all my Iron Maiden albums, at the time wasn’t really sure what that meant in all honesty...

It sounds like only a few people close to him knew. Fucking awful. And he filmed so many huge movies while battling it. Today is also the day MLB is celebrating Jackie Robinson day (he played Jackie in 42). This sucks so much.

Holy shit! I had no idea. That's a goddamn shame for the wide world—he was talented. Colon cancer is fucking merciless. Got my mom in two years.

What a terrible week in this country. From big (Chadwick's passing, the fascist lie-fest nightmare that was the RNC, continued strife, violence & murder bc of our racist policing) to small (Riley Gale of Power Trip unexpectedly passing at 34).

Regarding Boseman, the fact that he worked while he was sick, and kept it to himself, adds to his legacy.
I'm always impressed when people do that. I wouldn't be able to keep it quiet, if it were me.
