It hurts a bit knowing he went out in such a rough way. He was most certainly a troubled genius, between his addictions and personal relationships with the members of his band.

Joe Morgan passed away last night at age 77. He was one of my all time favorite Reds players and found a second career in broadcasting and was terrific. Reds country will be in mourning today.

Conchata Ferrell, probably best known for Two and a Half Men, also had bit parts in a lot of movies, including Network and True Romance.

he had a long life, but it’s sad regardless. He was brilliant, and I loved watching him put charlatans on the spot

He sure did. My first exposure to him was when I was 7 or 8 years old (or thereabouts). I was in a book store with my recently-deceased great aunt (who, coincidentally, also passed at the age of 92), and saw a book on a shelf that I thought had a cool cover, and the title grabbed my eye. I didn't ask her to buy it for me, but later that day my dad and I ended up going back to the store and picked it up.

Fast forward 25+ years and I took said book to James to sign. I also asked him about Carl Sagan at the talk he was doing, as it was the anniversary of his death a day before or after, or something like that.

    Book pictures:

While many will remember him as 007, Sir Sean did many other movies worth watching over and over again. He fully deserved his Oscar for The Untouchables. I will also remember him fondly as Henry Jones Sr. His on-screen relationship with "Junior" is amazing.

    R.I.P, proud son of Alba.

A huge shame about Sean Connery - RIP to a legend. He had a hell of an innings though, and what a career, and a legacy he leaves behind.

That Daily Mail video is just another addition to similar reports and picture from the last 2 years or so where he's been out and about to sports games, as well as pics of him in public where the guy from the video, who I'm guessing was a carer was alongside him so I figured the rumours knocking around that Sean was suffering from dementia were true sadly. But again, he had a hell of an innings, and what a guy.

I have loved Jeopardy my whole life even though I’m not anywhere near smart enough to have correct responses much of the time.

This is yet another cancer loss (I’ve lost 2 friends and likely my dog in the last 3 years to this shitty fucking disease). My heart hurts. He seemed like such a sweetheart of a guy and sharp witted at the same time.

    Oh, no.

My Grandpa died of pancreatic cancer; it’s one of those cancers that’s unbeatable.

The treatments patients receive now for pancreatic cancer are no more effective in saving you than the treatments my Grandpa received in the early-80s. It’s brutal.

Very tough loss, Jeopardy will not be the same without him. All of us hardcore Jeopardy fans dreaded this day (most kinda knew it was inevitable), but here we are.

    So long, Alex.

He is one of those guys who has been on TV literally the entire length of my life (more than my whole life actually) so growing up with him, it's almost like you expect him to be around forever. knew he was sick but damn, this one sucks.

Dear Mr Trebek: you just couldn't resist going up there to finally get the chance to quiz Sir Sean, could you? I wish I could see that.

Alex Trebek was the personification of dignity and grace, in all aspect of his life. He will be sorely missed.

RIP Alex and thank you for everything.

I remember when Jeopardy was coming on the air locally and they were hyping it up because for some reason I thought my oldest brother would get a kick out of it. The day it first aired I was so excited and then it was just a game show. so fucking weird for a seven-year-old.

The first thing I thought was that it was fitting that he went after Sean.
