Silvio Burlesconi is dead.
Darn.
Damn, RIP Treat Williams: "Treat Williams, the star of Everwood and Hair, has died after being involved in a motorcycle accident. He was 71. "
Oh God no! I loved Treat Williams.
RIP sir. Thank you for the memories.
Huge loss for American literature. McCarthy was a singular giant.
I felt compelled to read The Passenger two times back to back before starting Stella Maris. Such a haunting, profoundly unsettling novel (The Passenger, that is). What a statement / puzzle to punctuate the end of a life / body of work.
I'd quote the last sentence of the book here if I had it in front of me. Seems a fitting tribute, assuming Western (the protagonist) is some extension of his creator's self, standing at the twilight of his life and surveying the darkening world.

His body was found Saturday.
Such a wonderful actor with such a diverse body of work.
RIP Julian, you are sorely missed.
Another legend gone. Rick Froberg from Pitchfork, Drive Like Jehu, and Hot Snakes. Motherfucker.
Appropriate song for late.
The last of the great crooners, R.I.P.
to be fair, he did make it to 96, which is a pretty good run.
Rev. William O’Malley, Father Dyer from The Exorcist dead at 91.

Sad to hear this. She had been on a downward spiral for a while. I only know a few of her songs but think that they are very good.
what a tremendous talent, an eternally tragic and misunderstood badass, and a musical martyr and hero. shame on anyone who ever took her name in vain. RIP.
Sinéad's cover of Elton John's "Sacrifice" was incredible. Her voice, soft, breathy, then suddenly swelling to fill the entire sonic space. Just brilliant.
Rest in peace, troubled soul.
