Damn, she would have been 100 in just a few weeks. There's a 100th birthday celebration event planned for her. I wonder if it was pretaped already.

And just yesterday was flirting with Ryan Reynolds haha...so fucking funny. And relevant to the end. Not one of those where you don't hear about them for 20 years and then bam they're gone. Just a pure entertainer.

    Fucking. Dying.

Stop being silly, everyone. Betty's not dead, she just went into a deep undercover assignment. Sheesh!

As if Betty White could die!

Godspeed on your new job, Ms White! We're rooting for you!

Man, I just posted in the little things that cheer you up thread recently that I was happy she’d be 100 in January. Didn’t the same thing happen to Prince Philip? Gone just shy of 100?

Can someone please invent a way to prolong life by 100 years and inject it into David Attenborough ASAP?

Gotta admit I had a tear in my eye watching the little CNN retrospective for Bettie White. She was really special.
She worked as an entertainer for EIGHTY YEARS, and she just seemed to bring joy everywhere she went.

It's so crazy to look at her body of work, and see all the stuff she did in her late eighties and nineties.

She's also on the cover of the newest People magazine, and it says BETTY WHITE TURNS 100!
(my wife wound up with a subscription when she signed up for something or another, so I guess that's in our box at the post office.)

It just seemed like she'd live forever, somehow.

It was, and will apparently air in select theaters on her birthday.

So, um, that kind of sucks. SURELY it will make its way to streaming.

    Dead Souls

dying 2 weeks before your 100th birthday does not negate you living to a hundred. 99 and 50 weeks is basically 100. while she didn’t live to see the event, she was still a part of making it and the special will serve as a memorandum. it’s a thoughtful gift to the fans and people who loved her. she lived it and now we get this cute little package of her life to help us grieve. i think the 100th birthday celebration is well played, even in the event of her death. there are no guarantees. celebrate now.

I just saw someone fairly young (30) on Joe Rogan, JPEGMAFIA, talking about how everything and everyone he remembers from growing up is dying off and fading away. And that's true. It happens. I didn't see it yet, at 30, but I damn sure see it now.

Michael Lang, famous Woodstock promoter died, at 77 years old. He was the promoter for 94 and 99 (ugh) too. 94 is my favorite music festival of all time and the NIN performance there is (imo) the greatest rock performance ever.

    Jesus. That's horrible.

But also, having been on suicide watch myself...I mean, you aren't supposed to be able to "walk out of" it. Someone is supposed to be posted up watching you, hence the "watch" part.
They left me in a locked plexiglass room with literally nothing but a paper hospital gown and a mat, with someone outside just staring at me for 8-12 hours, and then someone else would relieve them. That's in the hospital and in jail.
Having someone die while on suicide watch is gross negligence, I think

He (Bob) posted a picture of the crowd at the show he was giving last night, in Orlando. That explains the hotel room.

Still, damn. 65 is too young.
