r.i.p chris cornell of the fucking soaring vocals. my brother and i argued, for years, chris vs trent. when i first heard an audioslave track i phoned my brother and said "you win".
was fortunate enough to see soundgarden tour with nin, so actually got to hear him live. his voice was amazing.
what a horrible shame and so sad.

Slightly off topic but that episode is GOAT later seasons Curb. RIP Chris, fuck off Roger

I really don't care about Ailes. He was a scourge. Bummer for his family. But, fuck that guy.

But, man, depression is a bitch. We've lost so many great people to it. Guess he felt like he had no one who he could talk to.

    I can't stop thinking about Cornell's family.

RIP Chris. I'm sorry you saw no other way out of your suffering. You were loved and you'll be sorely missed.

I just heard the news today. WTF? Chris Cornell. I may not be fond of his solo work but I do love Soundgarden and liked Audioslave. Hell of a voice. This sucks. He was awesome.

I think this might have been autoerotic asphyxiation. I just have a funny feeling. For the record, I had the same feeling about Robin Williams.

Edit: maybe I'm wrong: Chris apparently mixed Zeppelin's In My Time of Dying with Slaves and Bulldozers in his final song. Was this something he had done before?

I've read a few accounts saying it was not unusual. And the lyrics to the Zeppelin song are really spiritual.

Robin Williams had Lewy Body dementia:

I just read the same thing, that they had played it before; meanwhile the news is trying to make it into this big ominous thing.

This just doesn't add up. His wife sent a "family friend" to check on him- why? He had a "band around his neck;" fuck does that even mean?
I think this was an accident. Obviously I don't KNOW, but it seems that way to me.

Roger Moore is someone I grew up on as he's the first guy I knew as James Bond. Later on, I would prefer the likes of Sean Connery, Daniel Craig, and Timothy Dalton but Moore always had a special place in my heart. He was just a whole lot of fun. He didn't need to be a ruthless killer but someone who played it cool and get the girls. He is my mother's favorite Bond but she knew him first and foremost as Simon Templar aka the Saint. That was a show she, her siblings, her mother (R.I.P.), and other relatives loved to watch. My mother's favorite Bond film is The Spy Who Loved Me and she is sad because she loved that guy growing up. I will miss that man. He was nothing but entertaining such as this little clip as Inspector Clouseau.

Had the pleasure of watching him live in 2013. His voice has been a huge part of my personal soundtrack, so this a little devastating.

Fucking love Gregg Allman and the Allman Brothers. That was a real band. At least he will bring some good ol' music w/ Duane up in the sky.

So the rumors that he was in hospice were true.

So sad, such a big loss. Saw the Allman Brothers live several years ago, HOURS of jamming.

    RIP Gregg. God speed.

I have Gregg's book (hardcover), "My Cross to Bear," and have yet to read it; I guess now is a good time to start.

I have read it, it's very very good. Alan Paul's book on the ABB is highly recommended reading as well. It's the history of the band in their words, and is a page-turner in some spots.

He also completed a solo album that will be released this fall.

She was great in that movie yet it's Dirty Rotten Scoundrels that won me over as she is a joy to watch.
