tl;dr hits from George's IG StoryTime convo with Sargent House:

    - Double live album is being recorded next week, some older songs may be performed with 'a few changes here and there'.
    - Immediately following, the band is going to get together (as much as possible) to continue work on the next album.
    - The next album is already well underway...'in the way Roads To Judah was of that time...maybe our personal sound wasn't fully fleshed out, but once Sunbather came out you realized how not yet fully fleshed out we WERE...that's what everyone will say looking back at OCHL once this new album drops.'
    - No real plans to do virtual shows a la Code Orange...'we don't translate well to that format, needs to be in the flesh.'
    - George planning to release more books, perhaps lyric books to give interpretations of their songs; possibly photography as well.

I bought the Yellow Piss and Baby Pink variant back in 2017. It's sold out on their Merch Now page. I only paid 25.00 direct from the band. To see it soar to 80.00+ when there's better looking variants is nuts.

Mannn, I saw them play Daedalus first back in 2011 and it ripped then. It's still punishing, fuck. Was secretly hoping for them to bust out Tunnel of Trees for this lol.

A small, punchy setlist from this. As said above, glad to see Vertigo on here. That's probably my favorite song from Sunbather.

Interesting album art but minimalistic. Stoked!

Gotta say the original Temp artwork for the album is way better than what they're using now.

Can’t wait for my vinyl and shirts to arrive in the mail. I figure it should get here by no later than July.

Considering this isn’t really a live album, how much different are these versions than their studio versions?

It’s a live recording like how BBC Sessions sound. George sounds differently vocally in them all and the musicianship is close but resembles the live setting. It’s good.

I get what they did, I wonder just how much studio manipulation went into this. In a live bootleg, there’s no going back for retakes, polishing anything, or bringing things out more in the mixing process. I listened to half of this while walking the dogs tonight. Sounds fantastic, but is still missing that rawness of a live show. But, hey, it’s better than nothing.

It's most likely overdubbed and polished but who cares. All of the songs are powerful and the clarity is a significant reason for that intensity. The record works and now I'm hyped for whatever is next.

I can't emphasize how much this set list gets me. Pecan Tree and Language Games are my two favorite deafheaven songs I've always felt pecan tree needed some better production... It didn't really get that here, but its still great. Daedalus and kettle, they didn't skimp

Finally! Spinning now, worth the wait. Ordered a shirt in medium for some unknown reason so it’s too big, but can’t win ‘em all lol.
