It'd be cool to meet some ETS people before the show and hang out!

Though I haven't been on ets for a while, I too will be at this show. Don't want to go alone though so I'm ready to meet up with whoever wants to hang out as well. http://s1.bild.me/bilder/260513/37294034798394a.jpg

Hmmm, I'm considering this show. My traveling fee would be close to none if I were to go by train, and while I've never even been abroad, Vienna is quite close to the Hungarian border.

It sounds scary and bold so I'm growing to like this idea more and more. Others go to the UK from here and whatnot, so I shouldn't be a pussy! My main concern is traffic within the city, and getting to the concert. My german consists of knowing some sexual procedures, but that'd probably only get me to some other places I'm not planning to visit.

Edit: if tickets are still being sold, that is

just tell me at which train station you will arrive in vienna and i can give you a detailed description on how to get to the venue by public transport. should be about 30min max. vienna is not _that_ big...

"Wien Westbbf", but it it stops at Wien Meidling as well.

Also, if you could tell me about the prices of nearby cheap hotels, I'd appreciate it, because it seems like I won't have a train going back that day.

okay, so if your train will really stop at "wien westbhf" then you only need to go 1 station with the metro. you want to go to the station "burggasse/stadthalle". see this picture (red rectangle is your area of interest. you will go from "westbahnhof" one station until "burggasse". be sure to take the metro with the destination "floridsdorf" to enter the right direction):

when you are at "burggasse" you just take a short walk as can be seen here: http://goo.gl/maps/WmIqR

regarding cheap hotels i dont have too much experience in vienna. maybe this is good? http://www.hostelbookers.com/property/prp/48031/arr/
i'd try to have a quick search via typical sites (hostelbookers.com, booking.com, etc.) and try to look for hotels/hostels near westbahnhof. you surely will come up with something!

if you have any further questions, feel free to ask here

    Thank you very much!

I was also thinking about just staying the night out, I mean it'll be summer and stuff. I just don't know much about the Austrian authorities; it might be not a good idea.

So right now, I might be going to this show since a friend of mine won't be able to make it and as long as there is no one else to take the tickets. I didn't intend to go to Vienna but since it's a Monday I might do a long weekend! Third show for the tour!

Eh, I've never tried to spend a night on the streets in Vienna so I'm not sure if the cops would like that, but in general I wouldn't advise you to sleep in the open in a city you don't know if you dont have to. Besides, even in June it can get cold if it's a very rainy day. :P

Looks like I don't have a ride, so if anyone goes from Munich to Vienna I'll gladly join and pay for gas etc. Hit me up if you're driving to Vienna and could give me a ride (even from Stuttgart or some place else nearby would be okay).

I have one spare, if that helps. it's a nin.com pre-sale GA ticket...my friend can't make it anymore for work reasons. face value obviously.

It isn't (like any other show in Europe I believe), but it's pretty hard to get tickets here in Germany without paying a huge amount for packaging (e.g. +20 euro from oetickets).

Thanks for your offer @Kathi, but unfortunately we are a team of 2 and don't want to split. Otherwise, a pre-sale ticket would have been awesome!

Understand that, let me know if you change your mind! Also, check the event page of the concert on facebook if you're there...a couple people selling there as well.
