Quite the lights & visuals presentation.

Plus, there's a YouTube video of a live recording of Black Box Life Recorder that includes an argument that I think should be part of the official release, or at least get Noel Fielding to lay down some argumentative vocal tracks. (Video is not able to be posted, but can be found).Edit: Seems the video has now been blocked. 'Twas funny.

Agreed, in my opinion Cunningham is the "Hipgnosis" equivalent for Richard...

The CGI/practical effects still hold up well today in this masterpiece.

Yeah, quite an amazing story behind it with Cunningham himself in the uncredited title role... been meaning to ask my friend who's an actor with cerebral palsy what he thinks of that. I do remember not wanting to order the DVD at the time, because the cover art was so gross my parents would have freaked out if they found it, haha!

Speaking of cover art, has anybody else played around with the new iOS/Android app that animates the fold-out cover of the new Aphex EP with some pretty amazing augmented reality enhancement?

Anyway here's his set from Field Day:

I've preordered but I really hope Warp get this right - some or their pressings have been absolutely awful, even Aphex stuff (e.g. Collapse).

^ Yeah... those snarky messages have been on his micro-site since it launched years ago. $300 is definitely a bit too rich for me this week (I did just drop that much on one of those un-numbered copies of "Cargo in the Blood" at nin.com which blew out my discretionary budget), and the shipping from Aphex's micro-site to Canada is just (syro)bonkers, so I used a coupon I had from Bleep and ordered the 'regular' expanded vinyl there instead.

I don't have the vinyl EP of Collapse, but I've heard via Discogs comments that the problem was corrected on later pressings. My copy of Blackbox Life Recorder sounds absolutely wonderful on vinyl. High hopes for this one, also took advantage of the Bleep coupon to pair it with the expanded Digeridoo EP, as well as the reissue of Windowlicker, which I've never owned on vinyl.

Yeah I heard the same, so contacted Warp/Bleep and they sent me a new one, exact same problem. Very frustrating. Syro was also very noisy. I think it's plant related - they use GZMedia, who seem to have very poor QC (this has affected some nin stuff also). So frustrating because sometimes they hit it out the park! My reissue of B12s Soma is outstanding! I actually haven't dared listen to the Autechre reissues yet.
