I'm at work so I couldn't listen, but that's a really great interview, and a good inside look into the album. I can't wait. They always know how to provide sweet music in time for Halloween. And I'm pretty sure those "nuances" in the vocals/lyrics he's talking about were on display in "Aimless Arrow" - an actual gradient of tones in his voice between his punk yelp and his deep growl.

EDIT: I listened, I melted. Flying off the hinges. Also, can anyone confirm with me that there's something new about Jacob's post-Jane Doe scream that now seems more...dynamic?

Nada, though a recent interview with Jake briefly mentioned that Epitaph is holding the reins fairly tight on it. I'm freakin' out too man. It's out on the 9th and I actually think my preorder of the book and shirt won't even get to me here before I jump to the Seattle show on the 24th. Speaking of which, LESS THAN A MONTH UNTIL I SEE CONVERGE AGAIN.

I'm not surprised they have it clutched so tightly after what happened with Shaun Hand in '09, but man, we're less than two weeks out! This thing has to show up any day now, right? Surely it's being mass produced at this point. I'm shocked we haven't at least seen the 14-track CD version leaked yet.

Yeah and on Twitter, there are a number of random reviewers saying how good the album is...we all know albums pass through so many hands before release day that I expect something not too long now. But still you're right, certain albums just don't make it out to the public...not like the demand isn't there. All my friends who are drooling for it like me are saying the same thing.

Found a way to hear samples of all the tracks. If you've got a smartphone, get the social network called Path. Open Path, select music, and search for All We Love We Leave Behind. Voila! 30-second samples of all 17 tracks.

It's worth noting that the iTunes Store page that those tracks link from says the album is out on the 5th. So no matter what, we're hearing this baby sometime this week.

I got the vinyl from Deathwish and the deluxe CD/t-shirt combo from King's Road. I'd love to think I'll have a package waiting for me by Saturday but that might just be wishful thinking.
