There's footage on reddit where this idiot is singing (well, "singing") while one of the possibly dead fans of his are being escorted in front of his eyes. How fucking dumb is this guy?

I don't think it's fair to put blame on Scott. It can be really difficult to see what's going on in the crowd when you're on stage.

Nah, do some more research. Thousands of fans were pleading and crying for help, while the staff sat by and threatened 2 brave souls to knock them off the platform if they didn't stop trying to stop the show. When you're on stage, you can literally see everything going on in front of you, day or night. He also literally encourages his fans to act this way, so yea... Some of the blame is definitely on him.

I've read that it is not even the first time people have died on his concerts. I may be careless first, thinking it can't happen to me, but if it happened once (especially if I also encouraged them to do stupid shit), then 1.) I'd sto pasking them to come forward and 2.) would be extremely mindful if I see someone collapse.

I wasn't aware of that history. I try to assume the best about people, but if all of that is true, then I guess I was wrong.

Yea, definitely has happened at a few of his concerts before. There is a video of him crowdsurfing and someone I guess tried grabbing his shoe. So, instead of just kicking the kid out, he asked the crowd to "Fuck him up" just to find out the kid died of head injuries for being punched... He was very young apparently.

Correction: The young kid was at the concert yesterday at just 14 years old and one of the 8 that passed. The "Fuck him up" incident, the kid survived.

But the more you see from this concert, the worse it really gets along with the other blatant times Scott was either in trouble or in the news for encouraging this type of behavior from his past outings.

Ages span from 12 to over 30 for his fanbase, and for a celebrity of his stature that is on McDonald's ads and others that are aimed at such a younger demographic, you think he would be a bit more aware of what is happening right in front of his eyes, instead of standing above his fans like a fucking Demon at that fest.

Putting this over here because it's more suited to politics rather than funny threads.

The SUV rammed into a marching band, then a dance troop of girls aged 9-12 and a dance troop of grannies.

News here saying several fatalities, including children.

    The video is horrific.

The driver is allegedly in custody.

Edit: Death toll now at 5, casualties at 40.

Word is the culprits were escaping another crime.

So i assume you have right wing friends/family members on social media? I do, too.

I shared it. I prefaced it with something like this:

Let's go Brandon is funny. This is also funny. it's all a joke.

EDIT: ALSO, if people wanna ghost you over political jokes, well, that's a good way of filtering out the people who aren't actually down for you.

ha. i’ve had my fair share of conflict with these people. i pick and choose my battles and “let’s go brandon” isn’t one of them.

    i hear that.
And reading that back, it sounds like i'm losing family and friends over these things.
Mostly, people just ignore it if they don't like it.

Worst case scenario, they start some political debate when i'm not in the mood.

The "let's go Brandon" thing was never that funny (setting aside my political views). Sure, comedy is subjective like all art, but it's seriously the kind of thing you see on an Instagram reel or something, chuckle a little bit and move on and forget about it. The fact that the right-wingers are making t-shirts (my sister's boyfriend has the sweatshirt) with this phrase is just so asinine I honestly find it embarrassing. They act like middle-school kids who came up with a secret code to swear in front of the teacher and they think it's *SO* funny, but they're (usually) adults. You can say "fuck Joe Biden" if you want, no one's going to arrest you. These are the same type of people who would wear a "Fuck your feelings" shirt, after all. </rant>

there's a barbershop up by Wal-Mart that has the phrase on their sign outside. They never look like they're open so I dunno how they make money.

Outside of the usual muh freedumbs grifting on Facebook, I guess?

I mean, these are the same people that thought "Make America Great Again" was such a brilliant slogan, so you can't expect much from them.

    EDIT:
Did you actually see the original thing? It was pretty goddamn funny, if you're into news bloopers like I am.
This was a crowd of drunken NASCAR savages audibly and clearly screaming "FUCK" on live TV, and the commentator misunderstood what was going on. Come on, now. The CLIP was funny. What they SAID wasn't funny; rather, it's that the interviewer/commentator didn't REALIZE that these people.were screaming "FUCK," and let.the LIVE broadcast continue.
I'd put it on par with a lot of other news bloopers with unintended/misunderstood profanity.

I DON'T think shirts and signs and such, repeating it, are funny, nor do i think right wing idiots thinking they've got some sort of "code phrase" is funny. That's not what I meant AT ALL.
I just happen to like News Bloopers.

    CNN fired Chris Cuomo!
    He's no longer just suspended.

It sounds like there was a lot of allegations and, perhaps, evidence, of malicious nepotism in the form of helping his beleaguered brother.

But then he got his OWN anonymous sexual assault allegation, and that was the proverbial last straw.

So the general conceit here is that you're exposed to lead and then years later it leaks back into your bloodstream and causes dementia.

Do you know any boomers who might fit that bill?

that is interesting. it mentions pregnancy and menopause as times when the lead would leech. so basically when your body is stressed, your skeleton releases lead.

so don’t stress out. problems solved.

The Fox News Christmas Tree burned up in NYC last night.

I was texting with my little brother in Detroit, who told me as it happened and said he suspected “Antreefa.” LOL.

I can’t be the only one who is pretty much glad to wave goodbye to Chris Cuomo, though it only has a little to do with the scandal. I just couldn’t stand the guy and his perpetually-astonished expression

regarding the Fox tree, lol… oh well, and I hope it turns out the culprit is some qanon “stop the steal” loon
