Preview shot of the new stage...
saw them at Primavera Sound in Barcelona last Sunday. First time seeing them since Bonnaroo 2008. They were excellent and the crowd was SO well-behaved on the quiet parts, which I was impressed with considering it was midnight and everyone had been drinking all day. It is just the 3 of them on stage, Jonsi's voice is showing no signs of aging (dude's 41 now), and oooooh man does their stage show resemble NIN at times (although I feel like who doesn't at this point). They ended with an epic rendition of Popplagið. here's my ok quality clips of Festival & Popplagið:

New song is really cool. That weird electronic breakdown in the middle of it that starts fucking with the tempo and pitch just comes out of nowhere but it's so goddamn cool.
I love the new track. Caught part of the Route 1 thing yesterday. I could watch Icelandic footage all day.
So excited to see them in LA in September.
Saw them at Opener fest last week. Brilliant performance as expected, but I was slightly annoyed when they omitted the slow guitar intro in Poppladid and went straight into percussion part
Saw them on treasure island in San Francisco a couple days ago and it was very good. The mood was super chill, there was wind and rain, which really enhanced the experience. I believe I heard 2 of their newer songs and they sound more like the older stuff, which was surprising. In the beginning they stood in a small circle and were looking at each other while playing. The stage was visually stunning, it was set up to look like the lights we 3D. The show was an emotional experience, and at times gave me goosebumps.

SOOOOO stoked for this. Amazing record and the presentation of the box set looks amazing.
Hope they come out of this unscathed. This is now the second incident regarding their taxes. I hope they are telling the truth when they plead ignorance:

Has there been any movement in Sigur Ros new music department? Besides the endless ambient projects, that is.
Or should rather ask, is Sigur Ros even a thing still? After all the departures?
It is, but this is the first thing I've seen released from their camp since around October.
