Refn's "Too Old To Die Young" for Prime is so incredibly underrated.

Dark was an incredible show, so this definitely has my interest.

Derry Girls S3 is out on the American Netflix.

started watching it last night and it's about as good as the other series. I'm glad they aren't going past S3 though, they're all getting a little long in the tooth to play students.

The Watcher is ok. Good actors, fun characters. Gets a little dumb the further it goes along.

Finally finished the last of Derry Girls.

I think they ended it well and there are many threads that could be picked up into making a new show (including but not limited to another set of girls moving into the 2000s; a few of the original cast as women (and man) in the world; what happened to Sister Michael.... etc. etc. etc.).

The third season was pretty good, yeah. There were some episodes where I felt it was filler which isn't great for that small number of episodes but the good bits more than made up for it in the end. I didn't care for the ending of the season with her dad dying, it just wasn't as hard-hitting as the ending of S1 and S2. But then Chelsea started reading their letter and I misted up, no idea why.

I would love to see more but what we got was great.

Does it count if I saw a Netflix film in the cinema?

Glass Onion was excellent - high camp, brilliant turns from its stars and weirdly weirdly current, so much that you’d think they’d filmed it in the past few weeks. Just a shame it didn’t stay in cinemas longer (think I saw it on it’s last day)

Definitely a good Christmas watch to come if you missed it.

Is it better than Knives Out? I’m not sure, it’s definitely different but I’d be very happy to see more

Same, but I'm concerned I only chuckled at Red and Kitty. Granted if they make the show about them it could be amazing and have the kids be ancillary but the basement scene in the trailer was so bad. "Hey kids, just act like you'd think stoned would be based on years and years of popular culture instead of how it was shown in the original show."

rose tinted goggles and all that because I could be fondly remembering something I haven't watched in years.

I gave it a re-watch not too long ago and it holds up fairly okay. Plenty of cringe with Fez, they did not treat him well at all. Just ignore what becomes of the actors in the future and it's okay.

I don't usually weep during films but... Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio got me. Absolutely fucking beautiful. I hope it gets a physical release.

    Watched Wednesday; enjoyed Wednesday.

The last episode felt rushed to me but I realize they had a lot of story they wanted to stuff in it...

Same. I felt that some of the Wednesday interactions that were an extension from the movie - i.e. her wacky/random asides - seemed to go on for too long at times but the show in general was pretty well done.

Spoiler: Thinking back on it though I am annoyed that the dad didn't do anything about his son. He knew his son had the potential for a Hyde and even after seeing the photos and drawings was trying to pin it anywhere else. very weird.

I loved Wednesday. I was also very amused that it takes place just a couple towns over from me here in Vermont. Although I must admit, Wednesday's version of Jericho, VT bears absolutely no resemblance to the real one (turns out it was filmed in Romania). Haha.

I just finished this. It's in three parts, and I sat in stunned silence the entire first episode.

I watched that yesterday, too. Very good & didn't sucumb to the sequel disease. Daniel Craig's southern accent is hilarious.

I wouldn't mind if Johnson and Craig would keep churning out movies like this every couple of years. My only gripe is that they seem to have decided to name the franchise after the first movie in stead of after the main character.

Spoiler: Too bad that Natasha Lyonne's cameo doesn't appear to be a crossover with Johnson's upcoming murder mystery series. Would've been iconic to have Benoit Blanc meet Lyonne's character at Jessica Fletcher's memorial service.

Tried to get into this last night, and I definitely agree that it loses steam (quickly). If I want to watch a quality psychological thriller about real estate, I'll watch Pacific Heights.

Oh wow, I didn't even know about this but I LOVE Natasha! Super hyped for Poker Face now!
