    I didn't see that coming. I'm... perplexed.

Probably because he hates Jews. j/k @Erneuert 3> fart butt

Seriously, it would be nice to know more about the creative team going forward before I judge this decision; I liked Taylor-Johnson in Tenet and Anna Karenina.

I'm really not familiar with his work.

I'm hoping that they lighten the tone with the next movie. It would be nice if the next movie was just plain fun, without all the brooding, childhood trauma, intimacy issues, etc. I liked the Daniel Craig-era, but enough of that. I left No Time to Die totally bummed out (although I did like it). Life is hard enough, I watch James Bond movies for adventure, to escape.

Hasn't he been the frontrunner for years?

He's such a versatile actor, and is solid in everything he does. Has the charisma, build, and is English. Great decision imo.

I've been hearing a lot about Henry Cavill and there was always whispers about my man Idris but I honestly don't remember hearing of him as being a frontrunner.

I usually like his work (although I do have reservations about Godzilla) and I'm more than willing to give him a chance in the role but isn't he a bit young?

I don't know; what do I know. Let's wait and see.

That article just sounds like damage control, and seems like the news was released, prematurely. Nevertheless, I'd take any of the frontrunners at this point. We'll see!

I had no idea that Aaron Taylor Johnson was English
Idris would be a great choice but he's aged out of the role imo.

Anyway, I liked him in Kickass and even though Sony's Spider-Man Universe has been a slow-motion car crash for years now (Morbius, Madame Web), his Kraven movie looks like it might be decent. I'd definitely give him a chance.

As for him being too young, I disagree. Daniel Craig was 37 when they announced that he was cast as Bond. Aaron-Taylor Johnson is 33 now; only 4 years younger than Craig was when he was cast.

    And Lazenby was 29.

I was thinking, they should begin where No Time to Die left off. Bond survives, but was injured and needs cosmetic surgery, explaining the change in actors.

    haha

Well, I guess I will see it, I suppose I just mentally pictured someone else taking the reins.

I like the way Snrub thinks.
