Same here, I maybe read about a 1/4 of that review since every time it seemed like it was about to veer into too much detail I averted my eyes and scrolled on to a paragraph further down.

I'm sure I was the only fool that purchased a Toshiba Symbio BDX5500, but in case someone is looking at a used one, etc., you should know that it is obsolete and no longer streams Netflix. I've never had to purchase a new player because the "old" one was no longer supported.

Just a heads-up, guys and gals.

Isn't Netflix supposed to have a lot of Disney movies on Netflix in September? I know there was a deal, but due they get streaming rights or what? Everywhere too or is it just in certain countries?

It has been a real treat to go back and watch old Columbo episodes. I'm pretty sure, much in the way Mission Impossible was, this is darn close to the perfect television show.

Watched The Get Down this week. So brilliant, nowhere near as cheesy as I thought it would be. Great stuff!

it was so funny @Dra508 . at the beginning, i said "she's lying! look at her eyes!"
and then later, she said "you are looking for the answer in my eyes while the eveidence is over THERE: -something like that.
It kind of creeped me out!

Also 13th is a great documentary, as is Audrie and Daisy, which will hurt your heart but needs to be seen.

was outstanding. The right amount of creepy I've been craving lately! Felt a lot like Under The Skin in the mood it set with music and cinematography. Loved it!

I watched this one last night. Very good, indeed. Felt sort of like an Algernon Blackwood story, except for the time period. I particularly liked the soundtrack, and was curious as to what the old song was. Watching through the credits, I discovered it was an Irving Berlin tune covered by Tony Perkins with Urbie Green and his orchestra. The original soundtrack is by Elvis Perkins. The film is directed by Osgood Perkins. Elvis and Osgood are brothers, and they are the sons of Anthony Perkins.

This is not the version in the film, but it's pretty good:

Spoiler: I would have enjoyed it more without the ghost being seen. The visual effects were unpleasant.

I'm on episode 7 right now. This show needs more casual racism from Philip.

    The Netflix Thread

Starting the last episode of Season 3 The Fall. I dunno. It's plodding slower than any Scandinavian movie - ever - almost.

Edit: never mind. Wait for it.
