Al’s on the new Bill Burr podcast saying he has a new single out Friday so there you go.

I'm not sure how excited I can really get about new Ministry music considering I hated their last album. I'll check it out nonetheless.

Last couple albums were ok. Hoping, he might be more inspired to go back to his industrial style since he's been embracing that more. Probably won't happen.

I thought the last album was the best thing they've done since Houses of the Mole, but I guess a lot of people didn't like it. Hmmm

I agree about it being the best since Mole (which I love), but that's just because everything in between has been pretty shitty. Hopefully this new one builds on the good aspects of the last one and is even better.

I liked AmeriKKKant, would have fit in nicely in the 90s...

AmeriKKKant was the best record since.. uh... The Last Sucker. Not a high bar to beat.

What if... they announce that Paul is back? They're good now, and we've seen more improbable reunions happening in recent years

I like it? It's not thrash/speed metal. It sounds like Ministry should sound, right?

I like it too. It doesn't hit me the same way as their other songs do, but it still sounds good. I'm actually interested in it whereas their last few records I just did not care.

I'm in the boat that maintains Amerikkkant was a massive step up from anything since Houses. At this point I'm not expecting Al to reinvent the wheel or anything, just hoping he puts out the dirty, heavy industrial rock he does best. This delivers, hope it's reflective of the new album.

Got an email yesterday from my ticket provider that this tour is postponed. None too happy about it.

I’m late to the party, but as I work my way through Ministry’s back catalogue in a non-linear, haphazard fashion, I’ve recently begun listening to Twitch. My goodness, I can hear how Trent found this to be such an inspiration; Sherwood and LeBlanc’s fingerprints are all over this thing like they are on PHM. It’s like nothing else that I’ve heard in their catalogue, so far.

And tonight I stumbled on this era-relevant gem -

There's a good story in the WaxTrax! doc about Sherwood (although maybe it's hiding in the special features) and Al and a certain trade...

If you enjoy this era of Ministry, then the first two albums by Tackhead is a must to listen to. As well first two solo records by LeBlanc.

Never heard of them before, but in looking them up I found this which looks... familiar:
