If the audience member flicking the bird in that Instagram video was representative of the crowd, I can see why Trent would just want to GTFO early. It has happened before, mind you.

I read it as the crowd was pissed off and that's why they ended early.

Well, at least the earlier time slot provided better lighting for pictures: http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=2013...w=33374990@N07

Even if the crowd is a bunch of fucking assholes, ending the set 15 minutes early is a shitty thing to do unless absolutely necessary for safety reasons. And I doubt the crowd was that bad.

Looks like they played Disappointed? http://www.flickr.com/photos/3337499...-fvdBxA-fvdAPs

I also saw another tweet earlier with a picture and the words "Nothing can stop me now", so I think it's safe to say Piggy was played. That's six confirmed songs then, and eight if we assume they did Copy of A and Came Back Haunted.

Pretty sure he uses that on Copy of A also.

It's also possible they debuted another new (or at least new to this tour) song that also uses that instrument.

I thought Eustis uses an erhu on "Disappointed?"

If they cut 15 minutes, more than likely they stopped playing after "Only?"

    Ha.

We were just reminiscing over this on another thread but in the nineties if Trent didn't like a crowd he was brutal to them and there was no encore. Even in the WT era and beyond he has occasionally walked off stage but it takes more to provoke him. But overall if he's upset, he's very likely to walk off stage 15 minutes early. Nothing out of the ordinary about that in the least.

Yeah, I saw that. Still, I don't think it's a good thing to do to the fans in the crowd, however few they are. But Trent's gonna do what Trent's gonna do.

I can't wait for an official statement. I have no idea what happened there (maybe everyone's overreacting and Trent just had to cut a few songs due to the 75 min. slot), but something seemed weird from the beginning. 75 min. slot, opening for Eminem, first show in his beloveth Europe, surprising stream cancellation...

NOW it feels like NIN again.

Ah, my bad then. I wasn't sure who played what, haha.

But that's what it would seem like to me, though they may have gone to HLAH first. If a sudden set list change can be pulled off with such a production.

Yes, Eustis uses it during "Copy of A" not "Disappointed." But I am not sure if he uses that instrument at the beginning of the song (disappointed) or not.

If he had to cut 15 minutes I doubt it would have been the Hurt closer. He seems in love with that. A few songs here and there earlier in the show more likely.

I've seen them 7 times and they've always played Hurt (and Head Like a Hole, March of the Pigs, Terrible Lie, The Hand That Feeds , and Wish) at every show I've been too. I feel like he wouldn't have cut Hurt unless it was something like being upset with the crowd.

If the band knew about the shorter set beforehand, then they probably cut out some non-essential mid-set staples to ensure that the greatest hits run at the end of the set stayed intact.

According to google, the first one says "Notes on the appearance of an artist in concert reviews: instant flashbacks to the playground. NIN # # # PP13 the Default"
and the second one says "Maaa eeeeh the tonic ruined everything # fuck # nin??"

Almost the same for me but I remember the Melbourne club gigs back about 5 years ago some cunt was heckling during hurt and he said something along the lines of "we came all the way here to play for you but this guy is going to continue to be an asshole " and then launched into the hand the feeds and finished it up there.
