nice to hear the project going a bit more trip-hop / electronic. I loved the first two albums, and War Stories had some great stuff, but the more 'rock' tracks started to get a bit tired, and the last album was just a bit... boring..

Great to have one of my favorite bands back. For an 8 minute track, "Cowboys or Indians" flies by. Hoping we get a formal album announcement soon!

Nooooooo, I love Where Did The Night Fall!
"Joy Factory" still rocks my world, "The Runaway" is one of the best songs they've ever done, and everything Gavin Clark* (RIP) touched turned to gold. I highly recommend checking out some of the deep cuts and bonus tracks from that era if you haven't already – "In My Mind", "The Dog is Black", "Country Tune" etc are all killer.

*Has anyone here listened to the Toydrum (Pablo Clements and James Griffith) EP? "Void and Form" and "I've Got a Future" (feat. Gavin Clark) are as good as any of UNKLE's best. Toydrum and Gavin even recorded an entire concept album called Evangelist which is awesome, and I really need to listen to it more. I miss Gavin so much – he's one of my all time favorite singers, and he was unfortunately under-heard/under-known in his lifetime.

Already grabbed tickets to both CA shows. Never been to California, but this is as good a reason to go as any. For all I know, it’ll be another 13 years before he brings UNKLE to the US again. I drove to Washington DC for Massive Attack a few years ago and it was worth every penny.

It’ll be a whole-ass trip, too, as I’m going up to see Jungle play in OR and WA on the 14th and 15th. See two Jungle shows, visit a lifelong internet friend, see two UNKLE shows, come back to Kansas. PLUS a payday right in the middle, and I have a week of unused PTO I’ve been saving for a special occasion. Perfect timing.
