Gary Numan will tour with NIN http://m.rollingstone.com/?redirurl=...t-now-20130730
I'll be at the Orlando show. Hopefully that means we'll at least get Metal.

50 Greatest Live Acts Right Now
17. Nine Inch Nails
After a four-year hiatus during which he did Oscar-winning soundtrack work and started a new band (How to Destroy Angels), Trent Reznor is reconvening Nine Inch Nails and bringing industrial-strength torment to an arena near you. At the band's coming out gig at the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, they proved why this year's slate of shows is called the Tension Tour – the balance between the perfectly sculpted sonic darkness, the sensory-attack light show and Reznor's doom-diva charisma were breathtaking.
Showstopper: Any of NIN's Nineties hits has the power to turn an arena full of fortysomething fans into a giant junior-high goth dance party.
TooL at 46(&2) on that list = pathetic.

interview with local chicago alt rock station
Good interview.
Trivia: the idea for the title "Hesitation Marks" came from Russell Mills.
We all knew that second one by now, didn't we? I'm really surprised sparse is getting thrown around so much. I'm not hearing that at all on the festival recordings. Compared to the recent output anyway.
well, at least they're still doing a few things right.
Q87.7 used to be Q101 (i listened to that station from the time i was 8 until they shut down a couple years ago and moved from 101.1 to 87.7) but some of the stuff they play these days is just...horrible.
i mean, how can you go from "what is love?" by haddaway right into "wishlist" by pearl jam, followed up by an avenged sevenfold song, and then "came back haunted"? (yes, i actually heard that sequence of songs on a job site where someone had their radio on the station a few weeks ago).
Just a small (and strange) spotting: http://loudwire.com/courtney-bingham...friends/?promo look through this and you'll see it.
Edit: just realized you don't have to flip through all that crap, here's the actual spotting link: http://loudwire.com/mariqueen-maandi...ockstar-wives/

don't know if this has ever been posted...but i was listening to pandora and a song by a band called Break Of Reality came on. it was pretty good, so i looked them up on wikipedia.
apparently they released an album of covers last year, which includes 1 Ghosts I.
Oh wow, the Reznors were at Schwa!!
apparently, they were also at some panini place in the loop that my fiancee walked past today (but didn't take a picture) because they had a sign outside that, at the bottom, said "Trent Reznor eats here for free!"
Here's the mojo article. I'm on my phone - IN A TAXI! - so I can only link and not embed:
