Just out of curiosity, how exactly was the tracklist discovered? I'm also curious if 'GHOST RDR' and 'Left Out' are renamed.
Hopefully the old material is at least mixed differently.
Some of these songs are going to be released for the third time... No good.
Excited to head some of the new stuff, will be completely disappointed if x22 and ghost rider haven't made it onto this album. But seriously IFUCKINGLOVEYOU, IFUCKINGNEEDYOUTOGOAWAY. Quite frustrating to see many of these songs appearing on their third release.
I got kinda confused too with the "new" LP. It seam LP1 was a limited release to a 150 copies or so according to discogs I tracked down a vinyl rip back in '11. Excited for the new video. Big fan of Hornbrook from the PTW days.
BBDLP1 on vinyl was 150 Mauve/250 Blue with White splatter.
As much as I want to hear the new songs, i'm not buying the new LP. Been there, done that.
I think it's great for people who don't own a physical copy of BBDLP1. But it kinda shafts those who do. Obvious solution...
It would be better if the new tracks were just alone, and released as BBDEP2.
Still, I'm really happy that the band is growing and new stuff is coming to us in about 8 weeks.
That moment when you realise the cover to Side of the Road is a face...
Really, that many tracks released again? I'm unlikely to buy it again, and I'm a big fan. It would be one thing to carry over a few tracks, but at this point, why not just reissue LP1 and wait til you have some more songs to fill out a new release?
I might buy it because I don't actually own any BBD stuff, but it's still kinda disappointing that there are so few new tracks.
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeit. So it looks like the new LP is on amazon Canada as a pre order. CD (import) is $24, Vinyl (import) is $37. I don't see those being the real prices, but who knows? Shit's fucked up. These don't show up on amazon.com search, at the moment.

Video for Side of the Road is on Pitchfork right now.
Anyone think Jon looks like he has a tiny reptilian head in that screenshot?
The video's fun! I really liked it, especially the bit with the girl eating.
I love the new video! Bates has some seriously great moves. The "moment" half-way through the video is so brilliant. I don't who's responsible for that idea, but it makes the video for me.
Also, Big Black Delta Archive confirmed that the upcoming album will have "Ghost Rider" as a bonus track (at least for the digital version) - fuck yeah!! You can listen to samples of the entire LP on iTunes UK. Unfortunately, the release date looks like it might have been pushed back to the end of April, but that's not too bad of a delay. Apparently there will be a bonus disc of remixes as well. Not bad.
Also there will be a "Side of the Road" remix EP.
Yeah, I usually don't "love" music videos, but this one is really awesome, and it's made me like the song a lot more (I was really not impressed with it at first).
Judging by the track previews on iTunes UK, it looks like "Left Out" has been renamed "Into the Night". They all sound great!
And though I also am irritated at the fact that so many songs now have been released thrice, I guess I can kinda see where Jon's going with this. He now has his own real label and wanted to re-release BBDLP1 to be more accessible, and also with more songs to be an actual full-length thing. The new singles are the same thing; he's just trying to get more people to know hear about him, which I think is great. I could totally imagine some of his songs being played on the radio.
is the new album not going to be released stateside except as an import?
The label is a small UK-based one, so not unless he's got a contract signed with someone else.
I want to see a dance off between Thom Yorke and Jon.
Kind of pissed at myself for buying the FLAC version of BBDLP1 off the Topspin site a week ago with the new version right around the corner. But since I stumbled onto the page through a google search, and got the feeling the album wasn't supposed to be available anymore I figured I should grab it while I could.
Maybe I'll just take the extra tracks from the new version when it comes out and name them BBDEP2.
