First look at Jim Jarmusch's next film, Only Lovers Left Alive.
Jarmusch is one of my favorite directors and the pitch perfect casting of Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddleston is well, perfect. Digging the Andrew Eldritch vibe from Hiddleston.

Gah and now I have Depeche Mode's "One Caress" repeating in my head!

Okay, it's not much but here's a preview clip from Jarmusch's Only Lovers Left Alive

That is awesome. I love Mia Wasikowska more than ever. She's pretty decent on the drums.
looks good, but im worried bc Limits of Control was garbage.
I liked The Limits of Control. I thought it was a unique take on the assassin story where it didn't need much plot to help tell the story though it is one of Jarmusch's weaker films.
Didn't realize there was a thread on this already.
I meant to post this a while ago, but I had the pleasure of seeing this film at TIFF this year on opening night. Tom and Jim were in the house. TH was charming and hilarious of course, as always. GDT was there too, "scouting" Hiddleston for his new flick Crimson Peak. He obviously liked what he saw and passed the final test as the next morning they announced he was signed on to the project.
Anyway, Only Lovers Left Alive is everything you want it to be and more. I seriously don't know who was dreamier, Tilda or Tom, they were both absolutely mesmerizing every second they were on screen. And the music, oh my god, the music. I need to get my hands on that score. I might be wrong but I think Jarmusch said a lot of it was his band who recorded it.
This was my hands down favorite Jarmusch film and in my opinion his best work as a director. It's funny and dark as you would expect, but has this little something extra. This passion, this romance, this allure, that hasn't been present in many of his films in the way it was here. I walked out on a fucking cloud. This is must see cinema.
Ugh, I remember seeing an album on Important Records' website a couple of months back but now I can't find it.
Noooooooooo the US release isn't until April and that's just for New York and LA, initially.
A Korean sub leaked yesterday. Must resist watching.
At this point, yes because people are posting gifs on tumblr and not tagging for "spoilers".
Still waiting for a wider North American release but the soundtrack is fantastic!
Finally caught a screening last night and I can't stop thinking about this movie. It was definitely worth the wait. *swoons* I wish I was cool like Eve and could rapidly read through books in several languages.
Yeah, saw this one three times over the single week it played locally. It was . . . intoxicating.
Is this shot in Detroit? Some of that looks like Detroit.
Yeah, Detroit. It's set mostly in Detroit, with the rest in Tangier.
So who wants to smell like Adam? Just ordered "Ava" myself.
Blu-Ray/DVD comes out August 19th.
Saw this tonight. Really enjoyed it. Very alluring, love Tilda, man i love that hair. I felt a very strong closeness to this film, maybe it's because of my own romantic situation, one in which she's overseas and i'm here in the states.
Oddly, i felt more like Swinton, whereas my gf was more like Hiddleston. =)
