    The New Regime

Ilan Rubin is a hardworking dude. Not only did he play drums for Paramore's latest albums (along with a handful of shows) and is going on tour with NIN, he's just released a new album.

Epic and melodic mainly, and not drum driven like you would think.

The first TNR album was incredibly boring.
Does it get better after that?

Does anyone have the remix multitracks for "Remission of Guilt"?

Damn "Daydream" was stuck in my head earlier today...keep in mind I've heard it only once!

It's stronger than other TNR songs I've heard though, I'll give him that.

On Twitter Ilan says Exhibit B is done and being mixed. I’m looking forward to it — he just gets better and better every time.

Has anyone kept the Remission of Guilt remix multitracks he released a few years back? If so, I'd like them via a PM, please.

Finally checked out Exhibit A last night. Awesome stuff. Ilan's a really talented dude. I have a great respect for musicians who do everything themselves in the studio. It's what drew me to NIN and eventually Grimes.

So what is happening with Ilan and the whole Angels & Airwaves thing? I know Tom de Longe has quit Blink 182. Will A&A be touring or is that over now?

Better and better and better … the man is terrifying. o_O

(I'm also enjoying Skarn, Alessandro's latest alter ego.)

    Another track from Exhibit B:

If rock radio as I knew it was still a thing, this song would be all over it.

New track off of Exhibit B: Strong-Arm Tomorrow. I think it has a very Depeche Mode feel to it.

When I look at the article I don't see a link or embedded music thingy anywhere. It's been perplexing me for days.

Oh well, only a couple more days before the album release. I got an email that says Ilan is signing all of the vinyl and CD pre-orders, so I ordered the Exhibit A+B CD set.

Whole thing is streaming on Billboard's (!) web site:

    http://www.billboard.com/articles/co...source=twitter

He's getting a remarkable amount of press attention, but Exhibit B is totally worthy of it. With every song, I'm thinking he can't possibly top this … and then he does.

    Holy shit, Voices Calling. o_O

edit: Oooo. The t-shirt looked pretty "meh" on the web site, but now I'm wishing I'd gone with the CD + shirt bundle.

edit edit: Oh, hell. I just ordered a shirt too.

I liked Exhibit A, but I really really like Exhibit B. Nice work, Ilan.

In my head, Mannequin keeps weaving in and out of Midnight Oil's Sell My Soul. (That's what happens when you don't give my brain enough to do. )

I've been enjoying all of Ilan's Exhibit B commentary videos (needed to keep up some kind of NIN-related activity while I was AWOL from ETS).

His expressions as he's talking about the songs are wonderful — watching with the sound turned off is just as entertaining. So serious.
