    (not my pic)

Fantastic show in Detroit last night. No Amnesiac or Pablo Honey songs, but holy wow was there a lot of Bends and HTTT. The Daily Mail was a treat, too. How to Disappear Completely had me audibly gasp; I didn't think for a minute they'd actually play it. Thom's voice has held up so well, probably due to them just doing sporadic tour dates now instead of an entire year packed full. Our unseasonably cold, gloomy day yesterday must have reminded the boys of England because they were in such a relaxed and comfortable mood. Couldn't have asked for a better set (well actually, that's a lie), and am so glad this city is finally back on their radar now.

I was successful in getting GA tickets 45 minutes after they went on sale.

Probably a good idea to act fast if you're trying to get tickets

What a cluster fuck this morning. I was on there before they went on sale and couldn't get shit for 25 minutes. I was trying to get 2 tickets and it kept giving me the "another fan beat you to those tickets" nonsense. I kept trying on and off throughout the day at work and had the same thing happen a few times. Finally, 5 minutes ago or so I was able to score 2 tickets to the Boston show. They're not as close as my NIN tickets (both shows a month before), but oh well.

I had it in my cart on the XL store, but then realized I really don't need this (or any other vinyl honestly) just sitting around my house and taking up space, getting played once if at all. Sure looks pretty though..

I thought the Daydreaming video was amazing when it was released but this analysis of the video just came to my attention. Some of the things in this short doc are a stretch, but nonetheless it is an interesting take on the meaning behind the clip:

(couldn't embed the vimeo video, don't know why)

When you resort to numerology your argument is invalidated.

I have listened to In Rainbows probably 12 times in the past week...

Such a great record. Takes me back to high school. "Reckoner" into "House of Cards" just kills.

    ---

Additionally, I never knew Paul Thomas Anderson "directed" these two live session videos. Good stuff here:

An EP of unreleased material from Thom's Suspiria score was just released. It's mainly just extra bits and pieces of weird instrumental stuff. I wouldn't necessarily call it essential listening (especially considering how short it is), but if you're someone like me who loved the score, it's worth a spin.

And yet XL Recordings decided to do a "LIMITED" vinyl release of 1500 copies for $25. Sold out in hours and now being flipped for $100 a pop. hahahahaha

Total cash grab. 12 minutes that didn't need a vinyl release. Just listened to the EP on Spotify this morning and am now relieved that I wasn't able to snag a copy. Would never spin it. The main score is far superior. I feel bad for people that buy this second hand without having listened to it t realize what they are buying.

    What's the EtS for Radiohead?

I picked up a video reel & was curious if the following is widely available or if I should bother doing a transfer.

If it is rare, @ninlive would this be helpful for any potential NIN releases?

    https://drive.google.com/open?id=1pD...QmjhcRWwmRZFAC

    *edit*
Doing some research, the reel seems to be promotional assets for KID A. The "live in London" feature is segmented with fades to black after each song (idioteque/everything in its right place/how to disappear completely/morning bell/in limbo/optimistic/national anthem) with the following end credits:

    The remainder of the reel has 15 promotional spots (break down/falling volcano/death bear/eyes/plains/dead air/yeti/wake up/thoms angel/tadpole monster/invasion/red pool bears/volcano zoom/live/upsidedown football) for KID A.

Was just listening to the Suspiria (2018) score for the first time after having seen it months ago. Yorke created a masterpiece.

This is a great long form interview with Ed about gear (and technique and approach and...), headline news is that he's JUST finished his solo album.

It's pretty much perfection seeing Robert Smith's reaction to the overly enthusiastic red carpet interviewer, but I can't help but imagine how Thom Yorke would've handled it heh.
