Any LA fans - go to Amoeba Music now, there's going to be a surprise appearance of a "certain Director".

Totally agree. Sounds like it fits in the realm of the first and second records. Classic Ghost.
I hope they play this song on the upcoming North American tour that is set to start (has it already started?)
I'll be seeing them next Friday, the 20th. I'm excited now. Wonder if they'll have the 7" for sale at the merch booth.

ALSO, does anyone know the story about the actress that played Sister Imperator? It's a new actress in this video. I read there was a falling out with the original actress and they fired her or something...

I love the new song a lot. Reminds me of material off Infestissumam.

Yeah, it's definitely a new actress for Sister Imperator. Don't know the background story though.

I think the fact that this is supposed to be Papa Nihil's version of ghost explains the old school feel to the music. I dig it.

Took some merch shots of the stuff tonight for anyone that cares:

The show itself was really good. No complaints. Band and Tobias were in top form.
I guess the only thing i'd change is the setlist. It was good, but was missing a lot of the songs from the last leg they played live that I really wanted to hear (Witch Image, Pro Memoria, Life Eternal).

The venue was... too big for the band though. Half the seats were vacant and this was a Friday night show... I think it suffered from being too expensive. Last time I saw Ghost 3 years ago, tickets were $40 each. Here they were about $100 each. I understand there is a lot more that went into this show though. Stage setup was very cool but The floor wasn't anywhere near full either.
We arrived 20 mins before the band got on stage and noticed nobody in line fer merch, that was a red flag right there. We were able to get 3 rows from the front by just walking right up 10 mins before the show started as well. I think they over-estimated on these venues.

I bought the long sleeve shirt dead in the middle of my photo, #5. There was also a really cool hoody. I didn't care too much for the t-shirt designs. But the jackets were cool, expensive though.
Other than that, good show. I had fun.

    Anyone else at tonight's show?

(Doubtful but it's worth a shot!)

(Got the track jacket! 75 bucks!)

I was at the Portland, OR show and I'll be at the Minneapolis show this Saturday! I'm going to have to go VIP one of these times...

I did but I don't opt for the meet n greet, I never know what to say lol.

I'll post some pics of the loot bag I got, the main reason I wanted it was early entry so I could guarantee my middle of FOB spot....

Just waiting for Ghost to start now!

Im sure the VIP merch is similar to what I got? A puzzle, a candle, a drawstring backpack, signed Cardinal Copia 8x10 and a horseman pin?

I believe that's exactly what it entails. I love their merch, but that doesn't quite make VIP worthwhile to me (the signed 8x10 is the possible exception). I'd want to do the meet & greet / photo op if I were to do VIP (and get something – like a poster or album – signed in person).

My 8x10 wasn't signed, but I got something even better....

I'm just too damn tired to edit right now, I'll get my tape up this weekend. This turned out wAaaaaay better than my COA tape (new equipment and this venue sounds really good.)

Plus NO TALKERS/CLAPPERS/SCREAMERS! I was all by myself in the front of the SBD.

Did you ever put up your recordings of the Tool & Ghost COA shows?

Ghost yeah I did, there is a dl link pinned in the comments

Tool not yet, I released my tape from Lincoln a few days before though.

And I did tape SOAD too but I haven't released that yet either.

I usually try to keep a few tapes for those slow winter months so that way I always have something to keep me busy.

Ok here you go, dl link is pinned in the comments...

After 6 months of equipment failures, canceled shows, ECT, I finally have a perfect tape. Zero crowd noise and this new rig works flawlessly and sound light years better than what I was using before, it's hard to believe that this is an AUD. I did nothing to this tape, no eq or normalization or anything.

This show rocked, Cardinal was a mad man on Kiss the Go Goat with the wooooaaaaahhoooooss and running around all over, despite the place being half empty. Band sounded really tight, all around awesome show. The low end drones on Miasma and the synth parts on Dance Macarbe sounded soooooooo good!

Top 66 Metal records of the last decade.
Ghost took 3 slots with Opus, infestissimam and meliora.

I agree with the first 2, but I'm not a big fan of Meliora myself.
The comments on the FB post are all shitting on the fact Ghost is in this list at all, let alone 3 times... I don't know why people hate this band so much. I really don't get it.
I think the records deserve to be on the list. Ghost are the best new band of the last decade. *shrugs*

Other notable mentions were Rammstein, Slipknot and TOOL.

I always see a lot of hate in the comments when it comes to Ghost. I believe it usually boils down to two things: Metal fans who don’t think Ghost are “metal” or “not metal enough,” and people who hate them because of their satanic image. As for Meliora, that’s easily my favorite Ghost album and the one I think defines their sound the best!

I'm probably late to the party on this...

These sound really clean for demos, vocal performance are good too!
Dude has a googledrive link for mp3s in the comments, but if anyone has lossless files and wants to share...
