Almost everyone would suggest Music Has the Right to Children, and it's hard to argue with that, even if my personal favorite album of theirs is Geogaddi.

Ok, thanks. The only thing I've heard from them was a track that appeared in the soundtrack to the film Morvern Callar. A very underrated soundtrack album.

don't know if you saw a page or so back, but i said that that's how i got into them. love that film & soundtrack so much. and honestly, if that song is your only exposure to them so far, start with geogaddi.

Definitely start with Music Has the Right to Children or Geogaddi. Very different feeling albums, albeit with a similar sound. The Campfire Headphase is my personal favorite, but I found it the hardest to get into.

The track titles on this new one seem very dark, so I'm hoping for a dark album like Geogaddi.

    Question

Am I the only one who'd recommend starting with Twoism?

I think Campfire is pretty accessible, or at least made with the most familiar sounds.

Would be cool to see some live shows too, they never play live think the last show they did was in August 2001 at All Tomorrows Parties, they have played about 10 shows in their entire career.
Bootlegs reveal them to be mindblowing with a lot of never released material.

They've progressed so perfectly in their career that I honestly would recommend in chronological order from 'MHTRTC' onwards until 'Trans Canada Highway', and then 'Twoism'. I really hope they don't backtrack fully on 'Tomorrow's Harvest', forgetting cool guitar lines and reusing children samples again. Is that just me?

I'm expecting this to be their most accessible album. Not saying that's what i'd like, but it's what I expect.

Twoism, ABPOITC, etc, are their own entities.

Strangely enough, The Campfire Headphase is my favorite of the three "big ones." Geogaddi is amazing but also hard to listen to and fairly disturbing. I guess MHTRTC is the one i listen to the most after TCH.

I can't put my finger on why, i just have this feeling that they were a beautiful, mysterious, elusive force of nature that existed and is over.
i stand corrected. WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can't fucking believe it! There IS a god!!!!!!!!!!! are you guys as thrilled as i am!? i think i MIGHT have came in my pants when i saw the reveal on youtube.
Oh...My...God. I can NOT FUCKING WAIT!
    again...WWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOO-HHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like it. It reminds me of something from Geogaddi.

    From Pitchfork.com...
Boards of Canada have already dropped an official hint that we can expect something from them at 5 p.m. PDT today-- but in the meantime, the duo appeared to premiere a new song at Detroit's Movement Electronic Music Festival last night. Just before Squarepusher took to the stage, a song that 2020k suggests is called "Cold Earth" was broadcast over the soundsystem, with accompanying pink visuals. 2020k point to an oblique tweet from Warp Records as confirmation of its composers: "Tonight at Movement main stage in Detroit @_Squarepusher headlines and something earlier".
